It's just so logically unsound that I don't see how it's a maintainable position. It's like the "Marriage is for procreation." argument in that respect. Being raised in a very Christian household; I heard both arguments a lot. As a kid, once I actually applied some logic to those arguments they quickly ceased to make sense.

As far as having to accept another groups way of life; welcome to living in what's supposed to be a country with equal rights. If it's not harming someone or something else, then you should accept it. You don't have to like it though.

I don't think you're being as clear as you could be. Are you trying to state that gays already had the same rights as straights? Specifically, due to the fact that a man could marry a woman he is not in love with instead of the man he loves? Are you further trying to imply that all gay people are really just straight with your statement? Because I honestly don't see what you were getting at otherwise. Feel free to explain if I misunderstand you though.

In this country "marriage" isn't just a religious term. A marital coupling here is something that carries benefits outside of the church.

First, with regard to animal secks, if were allowed to slaughter an animal and eat its meat, then one ought to be able to bust his nut in his horses horse puss. I don't get down like that, but we have dominion over animals in all things. Second, this thread perfectly demonstrates that anyone who applies a standard to their life falls on the side of not being able to find any reason to oppose same sex marriage. I am not a liberal, it is my conservative principals that lead me to this personal belief. This argument espoused most recently in this thread that "Gays have the same rights as straight people because they can still marry someone from the opposite sex" is amusing.
