...I've read that polio-laden blankets were traded. Europe had been through the epidemics, build an immunity (to a degree) and started one of the first biological wars. Except, only the europeans knew the war was on. Although, Egypt had carvings of people that had contracted polio - not sure if they 'used' it to their advantage though.We had our own natural remedies and thats all we needed because we had very few diseases. It was only when the filthy diseased Europeans stepped off their disgusting boats and onto our land is when we became "sickly" like you say. Our immune system had no defenses against what ever nasty illness you brought over.
