The actual space given to the flowering area at the moment is 9x3, so each light covers a 3x3 section with some overlap, it works out to around 81 watts per square foot.

Depends on what grow space your trying to iluminate and how many plants.
My personal view is that because of reflectors, a 1000w would not produce the results you bought it for if it were covering an area bigger than 4x4. The reflector aims the light at a smaller square.

No I don't got one. I might start one tho, my plants are still less than a week old. Thanks for the advice, man, I really appreciate it. One more question though
If you had a 12' by 12' area with 20 plants and w/ a 1,000 hps. But you were on say a $100 budget, what type of additional lighting would you get? another hps? cfls? etc.

I'd probably hold out for another week or 2 and get a second hps of similar power.
The plants in my picture above are spaced out at around 1 per square foot so in a 4x4 area your going to get 16 plants. You could have them closer and restrict the side branching and then get more plants in that 4x4 area but I think for a decent sized plant you wouldn't want them any closer.

what are the black dom. like ?. they look a great plant. are they indca or stavia?. whats the 12/12 time?. is it take longer like some hazes?. i like the sound of this plant. have you ever grown this var. b4?.

It is 100% indica and from what i've heard total knockout stuff. The flowering time recommended on sensi's web page is 45-50 days.

Sensi don't test their seeds for thc. Its going to be high though, I know that much.

sensi only do regular seeds, to be honest, i think i've had my run with fems now, got some big bang fem growing though and they seem to be doing alright and actually turned out female so far.

i have 3 big bang baby plants 1 week from seed. and one big bang clone in one of my grows. there good plants. i grew two along side some sk#11, fem. ver. sk#1. the bigbang comp. to the skunk#11, in thc content, its nearly double, to luck at. there like someone has sprinkled iceing suger on them. they stink, thc = 19 to 20. im also growing some ajans strawberry haze,3, there the same size as the b.b. seedlings. the a. strawberry hazo is 21/22 thc. cannot wait to try it. some pics.
