U dont but will extra micros hurt ? Today i tried jack finish 5.4 gr per gall with 10ml per gall athena fade , lets see how it goesWhy would you need the micros? They’re already in the jacks base
At what rate ? 1gr per gall ? But now we are back to the same point as with gh trio or any liquid fert , instead of multiple bottles multiple salts , main reason i switched to jacks was simplicity 321 well thats not true anymore. Again you dont have too one can just go all the way to the end with 321 but not sure if u will get everything out of grow room (quantity , quality )Solution grade gypsum has worked great for me with jacks.. intention was to reduce N while keeping calcium levels up, bonus added sulfur! Very affordable from ur local garden shop.
Depending on which week in the bloom cycle added:At what rate ? 1gr per gall ? Comparing to Jacks at 0.2 centsAthena costs like 8 cents a gallon to make.
So i dont know ca if i mentioned but cost is not the problem for me. Im not a commercial grower and i dont have 100 lights. So even if it cost a bit more but gives better quality and weight im all in. Jack is amazing but u wont get the weight and quality compared to liquid ferts and not because they are liquid its because their line uses humic/fulvic acids , emzymes , tricanatroll etc.Athena costs like 8 cents a gallon to make.
But jack is way to general use fertComparing to Jacks at 0.2 cents
If you're looking for a 2 part quality lineup then look into King Solomon nutrients. So i dont know ca if i mentioned but cost is not the problem for me.
You could use calcium chloride for the calcium.Really ? Well coco is considered hydro right ? So if u want low nitrogen or no nitrogen in late flower with jacks u screwed
jack's is under 5 cents a gallon at full strength part a, including calnite and epsom. I haven't gone higher than 60% or so.Athena costs like 8 cents a gallon to make.
I might just do gh 3 part good old tested fertI would ask around and get some samples of the drip line, or whatever else you want to try out..
Then, make sure to do a 3 way side by side battle, and let us know what works best!
Athena pro is meant to be mixed into a stock solution so you don’t have to worry about it clumping up. I do agree that it is way too expensive, I also don’t like that I have to adjust the ph with Athena and I never had to with jacks because it would be 6.1ph for me if I mixed it to 1.6ec.Kratos back from the dead?
I use Jacks 321. Tried Athena for 2 runs. I dont like how it their A clumps up....turns into a rock and its 3x the price in this tough market.
I cant remember if Jacks v Athena gives better quality. Jacks is just cheaper and more convenient to use for me. Gives me better yield too.
Masterblend also came out with a 0-12-24 bag so you can control the N. Someone should look into that and try it out.
I really like this... I have mega crop A and B, You're saying just figure out the ratio of PPM of stocks A-B-C and then go from there? So I can go as far as making the concentrated solutions different strengths to achieve a 50-50 blend into my res at whatever PPM I want? Is it really that simple? I've been using GH trio now in my DTW coco because it is so easy and stable, but It would be nice to use some of the megacrop I have sitting around, it would be easier if it was a liquidI mix my jacks up by EC, after making into one gallon super concentrated stock solutions. I don't weigh it at all anymore, or mess with the powders but once a year maybe, being a hobby grower.
It's super easy to mix that way for me. After you get an idea of the ratios you need, you know exactly how much volume of each stock part to add, and is just as easy ass using any other bottle of nutes IMO.
