Hey guys. So I've made bubble for years the old fashioned way with regular ice, water, and frozen un dried trim, multi mesh size bags.
I am now looking at making it with dry ice to avoid some of the mess etc.
I need to process so much trim that is building up in my freezers and I've taken a lot of time off of making bubble cause I got into the BHO heavily over the past few months.
I have been watching vids and reading guys posts about the dry sift dry ice method and it looks like so much more of a cleaner process than the water and regular ice method I've used up till now.
Can you guys help me with some questions about this? I'll post up my process and findings after I try this new method for me too.
1. Can I use frozen un-dried trim with dry ice and sift it just like the guys do with dried trim and still extract the same yield I would of trichs as if the trim was dried first or does it have to be dried first?
2. Does anyone know which method yields better; with regular ice and water vs dry ice and no water?
3. How about quality comparison of the two methods? Anyone notice any differences between the two?
4. Anyone have any advice on how to improve any techniques used with dry ice or tricks of the trade?
5. I use 5 mesh sizes when doing my wet ice bubble. Is there more preffered sizes when doing it with dry ice and no water?
6. When I make my regular ice water bubble I mix my mesh size bubble together by drying it then freezing it then grinding it into a commercial grade, then pressing it into tubes of one ounce weights. Is dry ice bubble easily pressed like ice water bubble or is there a difference in techniques for pressing it?
7. I just ordered an 8 ton hash press with a rectangular mold. I'm used to using a smaller hand pressured one ounce tube mold. I'd like to be able to mold a design into the mold. I have a koi fish in mind. Any advice on how to press a design into the bubble hash brick?
8. Anyone find it better to use a bunch of smaller dry ice pieces or lesser larger dry ice pieces? I've noticed both methods in the vids I've been seeing.
9. When I make ice water bubble I usually let the material sit in the ice/water for a couple of minutes before I start churning the material. Would you also do this with dry ice method?
That's all the question I can think of right now. I'm sure more will pop up as I try this new method so any additional info anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!
