"FULL MELT" the reason full melt is full melt is because its pure resin heads and it has a higher potentcy than hash that does not bubble.. yes bubble hash method is a pain in the ass but the dry ice hash you can definatly end up getting A LOT of plant material in it causing it to be LESS QUALITY. YES its EASIER and YEILD IS MORE BUT its LESS QUALITY.

If you go easy with the agitating, you don't get much plant material at all. Also, a smaller micron bag helps too.

It's not the mess that makes dry ice superior for me, it's the time involved and the end product. DIH is so much faster to make and the powder is much more versatile than a hard lump of bubble hash.
hard lump? if you want it in powder form dont press it... i agree its faster..

I meant that the Bubble comes out as a hard lump, perhaps chip would be a better word. The DIH powder is easily sprinkled onto whatever you're smoking, whatever you're cooking, or en-capsuled into a pill. Chips of bubble are hard, not easy to break up for baking etc, and when smoked in a chunk they keep flaming away like a candle.

Meijer just took out all the dry ice, Wal-Mart and Leppinks don't have any either. Any ideas where to find some near Greenville?

No sir, you're incorrect on that one. I was just at meijers today in GR and the dry ice bin is right where it's always been.

BTW, for those getting too much plant material in the mix, I would suggest doing the DIH shake down on your dining room table under plenty of light (or whathaveyou) so that you can clearly see the tint of the hash change to a darker color. At that point, you should stop and you'll get full melt if using quality material. If you shake the shit out of it then you get darker charcoal hash which isn't what any of us is shooting for obviously. I'll also clean up my full melt and then do a 2nd run w/ the same material to produce charcoal chunk hash which is still plenty useable in the pipe or to make up a nice oil extract. Anymore, I use all my charcoal hash for oil extracts and canna butter as it's just too damn harsh for me to smoke. For some reason full melt doesn't produce that harshness you get with lesser quality hash due to the added plant material I s'pose.

Which one? I checked only Greenville, Rockford, and Muskegeon. They all removed their dry ice. The only other place I found I could get it from is Praxair but they have pellets and I'm concerned about how fast they would melt.

Plainfield. Maybe they're just selling off the rest of their ice before they remove it. You should be able to purchase dry ice quite easily at any bakery that makes cakes also or even a party supply store. Can't imagine they'd charge ya an arm and a leg to buy a few chunks.

btw, you sure did cover some ground there looking for that ice. try calling before ya go and verify unless you just enjoy afternoon car rides :)

About 10 plants worth of trimmings. No clue as to the actual dry weight.
They were mostly lemon g so there is a lemon scent to it..

Just a short note! You can get dry ice at a place in Albion called Continental Carbonics (can find the number online, just Google it)! It's open 24/7 and have scrap at $9.00 for 20lbs. I've used it several times and works great! They also have blocks and slabs for bigger projects!
I shook out the trimmings from my last grow of 16 plants and got 28g of first run (73mc bag), and 92g of second run (160mc bag). The trim was moist, but that has never caused a problem in the past. I let them sit out over night on paper, then store in the refrigerator. The second run material in a plastic butter container, and the first in folded paper. It works great for cooking, and the first run burns excellent in a bowl alone or with bud.
Good growing!

"on to us"? That's a good laugh there; meijer's making a business decision to remove dry ice because they were selling too much of it. Nice logic.

I have seen bubble taken back to powder form by using a micro-plane. Just rub it across the plane and it grates it back to powder. If you do it non-aggressively it wont hurt the hash. If it gets to gummy to grate, throw it in the freezer for half an hour. Full melt powder....mmmmm.
