I was thinking the same. I never mentioned smoking to my mom for nearly 40 years. Told her I was growing a few years ago waiting for the lecture. She asked if I could send her some, wanting to know what kind I was growing, etc. same with multiple other family members and friends, we spent years hiding it from each other.

My mom was all about Nancy Reagan’s “war on drugs” but now uses all kinds of CBD rubs and editables….the stigma is dwindling and after all it’s legal in a ton of areas of the world now. But there are all kinds of reasons like leases etc I suppose.

They actually already know I smoke occasionally because I've been smoking it on and off for about two decades, the problem is one of my relatives in particular has a very major love of maintaining leverage over people, in rather pointless ways, just literally for the power trip.
So if they'd been here whilst it was actually growing or air curing there's a very decent possibility they'd make some kind of dumb "proof" video showing it and then threaten to send it to any current or future employer, even though the employer themselves might not even be particularly bothered about it informally. They're in their 30s and it's pretty lame but yeah.... there's not much I can do to change that.
So that reduced the options down to, issue some kind of reverse threat and escalate the pointless arguing (ironically I could actually have them fired on the spot from a reasonably well paid job very easily because they have some fairly "out there" opinions on some things, that I doubt their employer would appreciate) or... just stealth mode it.
That aside, the dry bag method... it's a no go.
