Everybody can drink as much as they want, but they have to drive bumper cars on the freeway....little tiny drunk bumper cars. The rest of us get to use our vehicles.

I can think of a few great road games already.....
Hahaha, that would be great, drunk bumper cars.

I really don't understand how bars are even legal.

Scenario:
I walk into a bar. I have 5 drinks. I walk outside. Cop gives me a Public Intoxication.

Hey Rick ...

Its true that cops SOMETIMES violate the citizens constitutional rights. Its also true that the citizens should educate themselves as to what those rights are, and when authorities are trying to violate those rights, the citizen should stand up and exercise those same rights. I'll bet the Founding Fathers are spinning in their graves over the ignorance of the average American citizen.

i drive, and i'm fucking STONED. have a pipe in my lap. most of my glass gets broken exiting a vehicle.

i'm really not here to argue. it honestly sounds like rick is a daily drunk driver with numerous DUI's. am i wrong? i wanted to hear some of his ideas. he seems to have none and now will reply to this with yet another insult. where is all this leading? :leaf:
I have never been charged with DUI. I have been charged with boating under the influence on my jet ski on MY FUCKING LAKE which makes my head want to explode. Like I'm going to crash into a duck or something.

Anyway, click on the link in the opening post if you want ideas. How about a graduated scale that increases your penalty based on your level of intoxication and your actual actions instead of what you could potentially do. Germany and Australia take numerous factors into account. And how about cracking down on cops who lie and violate your rights.

Funny that you admit to driving while high which is legally a DUI and yet you lecture others. A DUI is a DUI, the law doesn't differentiate. Are you a special exception to the law or what? You remind me of the drunk at the party who pontificates against DUI while staggering toward the door with his car keys in his hand.

if you would have read my posts you would have seen i am a legal smoker. i'm gonna test positive regardless. the law says "within 4 hours". there is NO legal, limit for pot. they judge it based on your actions. i'd beat it in court. they'd have to see me actually smoking to get it to stick. then it's my lawyer against them.

i don't fall on my face when i smoke too much either. i do black out when i drink though. that's a hell of a way to drive, isn't it?

just like you, i know my limits. i don't understand why you must continue to insult me when i clearly agree with you. nice way to carry on a discussion. :-(

I haven't insulted you. And I haven't seen you agreeing with me. FYI, here in MI you get a full DUI if you have any THC in your system. You could have smoked 3 days prior - doesn't matter. Nor does it matter if you can legally smoke, you still can't drive on it just like you can't drive on Vicodin. Funny you should say you know your limits - that's how many people feel about alcohol.

But anyway, it's nice to know you agree.

Driving drunk or stoned is against the law, and well should be. When piloting a 4,000 lb hunk of steel, one should have all their wits about them., speaking from experience, (many moons ago) I have had interaction with the police on alcohol related charges while driving. The experience was bad and yes I deserved it. I now would never consider getting behind the wheel in either state of mind. Lucky for me, (and others) I never had an accident or harmed anyone, But the possibility always existed while I was intoxicated behind the wheel, Lucky I am.

What about a guy who takes row boat with a 5hp outbord motor out fishing and drinks a few beers - should he be put in jail and lose all his rights for a year?

in a way boats are more dangerous than cars. there are many boat accidents due to drunk driving. i think anytime you operate any dangerous machinery then you need to not drink.
i realise that fishing and drinking go well together but fishing from them bank is always an option if you must have a beer
