Dwc Grow Club

HI! This is my first grow, I started with a aerogarden and soon said eff dat. I'm growing 5 Northern Lights plants, 5 bagseeds that are Indica and 2 sativa bagseeds. I started with 2 24" floros, then bought 2 48" floros now I have a 600w MH/HPS. I have been growing for about a month. Heres the before, midway and most recent pics.

Looks nice n tight bro. Know u have some money invested in that set-up as well. Good job.

Glad I could bring a giggle too your day! Anyway I have been a soil growing for yrs. and decided to take the plunge. I know most folks are not to big on HydroSpirit systems, but.... I got a 28 site complete for just over 100 bucks new. Was to hard to pass up. I am going to use rockwool cubes for germ then move them to the system using hydroton. I have a few ?s.
Should I keep the water level right to the base of the pots to begin with and then lower it some after I get some root structure going. I am will be using foxfarms growbig and tigerbloom. Figure 1/4 dose or so to begin and work up from there. Also would adding a fogger to the system help the new starts at first? And they recommend 15 mins on and 75 mins off cycle. Light period during veg will be 24/0 Flouros then hps 12/12 to flower. During flower should I keep the systen running on the same schedule? I know I will have to tinker with a bit but do you think this will be a good starting point? Thanks and look forward to sharing and caring with you all.

Atrum.. Ive gotta say that is a beautifull interesting plant u have going there. Many props. Nice tight stout healthy lil plant man. Cant say enough good about it.


Cowbot man. Cant wait to see ur grow. Ive heard good stuff about the foggers all tho ive never used them to be honest man. Cant knock till i try um i guess. Id personally rather not even try to give u advise about that system man.
However, I can tell u that ur gonna wann presoak that wool in 5.8 ph'd water bro at least 24 hours before placement. U should be fine keeping ur water level right at the bottom of the pot man. Obviously ur air stones are going to push plenty enough water up into the rock to help force root growth down into the water and nute mix.
I actually choose to hand water my wool and plugs for that matter with 15 ml of water a day "TOPS" and just let um do there thing man. Dont over wet that wool ur only going to prolong results.
Other than that maybe we should just have a porn fest now!
 
Many thanks DownLow!!!!!! I have been learning up on it for awhile now. I hope I have the basics down and look forward to the journey. I am going to order a fogger and add it to the system using pvc fencepost box with 3/4 pvc tubing to distribute the fog. I will only be using 3 tubs for actually growing and 2 others as res. One with nutes and another with phd water in case an emergency flush is needed! The fogger box will get its supply of water via 1/4 hose plumbed into the recirculating pump. Hope to be germing seeds in a few weeks. I will start a journal at that time. Also have some different light ideas I am going to try during late veg into flower. And mad props atrium. GREAT LOOKING PLANT!!!!!!
 
here are some pics of my first grow of some bagseed which happened to be dwc. i think we actually started on 4-20-07! plants grew beautifully, but i reeked havoc by overnuting and spritzing with water too much. probably produced a little over a lb dry but wasn't very potent and had a weird taste. glad to finally get my feet wet.

Nice job man. Shit looks nice either way. I grew Bagseed for a long time. Glad i did cause i learned alot especially about grow characteristics between sativas and indicas. Id reccomend growing a few bagseeds out to anyone actually.
Good job bro.

On another note whats up bro's. Been busy in the grow. Grow's are looking nice for real. Glad peeps are getting involved. Hydro is an importnt key to any grow. Nice.

Hey, just joined the site and glad to see so many agree that DWC is the way to go. On my second go around ( 5 weeks into flowering, got a White Gold going) and just wanted to stop in and say hey. bongsmilie

I'm not gonna start with how long it's been - I know , and you lot know.
Life's had me stuck down like a sucker on a tentacle of time, aswel as problems with the laptop battery which left my few free minutes normally used to post n browse as useful as a hose in the desert.
Anyway gotta get on with a coupe of things , thank family for gifts and such ( its my birthday ) but i will be back , oh yes - I will be back.

Whats up Dude haha ur completely insane man. Yea ive been bouncing around man there's bad info everywhere it seems. Lotta good peeps here to tho. Good to see ya here to man.
Its really kinda hard to argue truths with pictures to back it up. LOL man if i can help a grower in the process and spread a little knowledge ill try haha.
Its pretty crazy how easy growing actually is tho if u only follow a few rules.
