Dwc Grow Club

I have my light about 1.5ft above them right now its 300w hps you can barely feel the heat of it at the tops of the plants, I didnt want to get it to close to them though. I also have a fan circultaing in the room and it moves the plants a little bit but if I direct it on them they wisp all around. should I still put it directly on them and lower the light some more?

Yeah, just turn the fan down really low. The point of the fan is not only to move the air, but to simulate wind in nature. So, you want the plants to move but not get whipped around.

And I keep my 400w light about as close to the plants as I could stand to keep my hand under the light. In other words, if the light starts to get too hot for your skin, then you know its too close. So move it closer untill just before that uncomfortable distance, and thats how close you want the light to your plants.

my yoyo hangers are out of string to lower it any more so I kicked my quantum ballast up to the 450w setting, Ill see how that does. I also got the fan positioned a little better after messing around for a little bit. I propped up the one leaner it should make it, it already has a fair amount of roots showing through the netcup. thanks guys.

you been holdin out on us!!Those are beautiful!Very colorful..i have one air purifier in the growroom and keep the door closed and you can barely smell em when u walk in.

chillin man Dl they swellin just like u said...i added another 105w. (400w. equivalint) 4100k cfl for side lighting.

gonna start up the need journal soon, picing up the GH line today, gonna be working on my strain

Are right guys.What are your thoughts on extended dark period before harvest.
Myth,Bullshit or does it have merit.
And how about harvesting.Do you chop and hang the whole plant then trim.Or do you trim and cut individual stems.
Any thoughts or comments will be helpful.

i give em 24 hours darkness before 12/12...my opinion it helps em to sho sex a lil quicker(manipulate fall quicker)

How about before you harvest though!!!

Hey MM I never did mess around with the darknes before any period bro. Not saying it doesnt work by any means cause ive never done it..
I always leave my main cola assembled and hang dry i guess. But yea deffinetely remove the side shoots if u want dried bud quicker. Ohterwise just leave it intact some people swear by the slow dry/cure period. Never tried that either..

Been experimenting with all kinds of things lately particularly COCO..
I think this would be a great alternative to people with any type of water issues like slime and all that crap.. I feed mine exactly the same as DWC. Very happy with um.

Well I feel wierd posting in Club thread without no DWC porn to floss haha..
I do have a couple coco plants ill be back with some pixels haha..
No i didnt switch over to coco.. Just been letting things finish up so i could get a little more organized.
