Whats up with u i seen u had some bug problems or something. Hope u get that all worked out. Bugs are not cool man. Thats why i switched to hydro in the first place.

Yeah, the "Tree" had to be put to rest. Fucking spider mites sucked it dry before I even noticed. However she lives on. Hehe Good thing I cloned her :) . So now I am doing LST on the clone. I am happy to say she is doing fine. Also got some insecticidal soap too. (little bastards anyway).

i actually gave my plants 24 hours or darkness before i chopped, followed these threads as well

I am trying to get started on dwc and have everything I need I am using this stuff called easy caulk to seal holes like around the hose for the water level indicator and its not working after three attempts it still leaks any suggestions prefferably cheap ones? If I get this done I'm good to go
Its a 10 gal tube with two 8inch netpots in the top I was also wondering I have clones ready but only one of them is in rockwool the other is just in a neoprene collar.. Can I just bury it in the hydroton or how can I put it in something without harming roots?

there should be no problem as long as your careful. Just don't try to weave the roots through the net pot. its better to just set it in there as best you can. cover the roots with hydroton, and make sure that the water level is at least touching the roots. They will work their way through on their own.

Transplant directly into hydroton. Its easiest to do this in a bucket of water.Fill the pot about 1/4. Set in the water place the roots on it and fill the rest of the way with hydroton. Remove from water. And the rock will settle. Gently.
U can also just pour the rock over the roots nicely then put in the system. Just keep the rock brown until u get roots in the water.

Sweet thanks guys. Any thoughts on waterproofing? What do u guys use. I made the hole for my level indicator just a smidge too big and can't seem to stop the leaks. Sorry if this isn't the right section to ask this and thanks again for the help one day ill figure this rep thing out and yall got some comin to u

I dont worry so much about waterproofing in fact im not sure what that means entirely. But u could light proof ur tub with panda film by covering it(light proofing) as well as lign ur tub and tent with it in case of spills.

i never made a water indicator, made no sense to put a hole under the water,
not that had to lift the lid and take a look, if its a big rez, your going to have leaks no matter what

Looking sticky fellas.

Here is the little gal.

It looks a little beat up cause those little blood sucking mites came back. but I got em this time. I soak the leaves twice a day with that insecticidal soap I got.

Although I think that it may have burned my plant a little. The new growth looks fine though so I know it will pull through, and no more mites.
