Fill a glass with tap water, check the tds, and let it sit out for 24 hours. After that, check the tds again and see if anything dissipated overnight.

Makes sense, but I'm wondering if the amount of CalMag you're adding is the correct amount to accompany the regular nutes.

What kind of problems were you originally having? It's quite possible that the problems were caused by something else, and switching to RO didn't correct the issue. I've seen lots of threads from growers using hard water, and they have great looking plants. That's not to say that the plants wouldn't benefit from RO water, I'm just saying that your tap water may not have been the issue.

I defiantly underestimated dwc lol but since I'm here and still have both plants alive 'I'm going to do what ever it takes to get them through the flower phase.

I think your right I need to go back to the start and go again, empty res rinse and clean then what?

If it were me, I think I would use straight tap for a few days. Reason being that the chlorine/chloramine might kill whatever's going on with the roots. This is going to kill beneficial microbes in the process, but you'll be adding those back in once you start adding nutes again. It's kind of like chemo.

After a few days, I would dump the water, then fill with half RO and half tap water. Go half strength on the nutes, and don't add anything other than the grow nutrients. No CalMag, no molassis, etc...just grow nutes. Hopefully that'll get them back on track. As they start looking healthy and growing, I would bump up the nutes a little at a time, but not too much.

Again, this is what I would do. Some might agree, and others will probably troll me and call me an idiot LOL! But I'm using nothing but 70ppm tap water and Maxi Gro/Bloom, and everything's growing very well, so it is possible to get great results with the basics.

MY PLAN OF ACTION TO SAVE MY PLANTS & MY SANITY...

Please feel free to correct any of the methods I'm going to describe please

Fist I'm going to drain the res , extract both plants and place then in separate buckets with some 11.9% h202 liquid oxygen by (growth technology) add small airstone to both buckets,
Leave both plants in the h202 solution over night 12hours' soaking right up to the net pot?

Clean res and pumps/airstone in a h202 bath also, then rinse everything in fresh plain tap water,

Place airstone in a bucket of plain RO water and bubble for a few hours over night while the plants are in small over night buckets with a small airpmp?

Extract both plants from the h202 baths and place in a separate plain tap water bucket to rinse off any dead roots?

Re fill res with de chlorinated tap water ppm 280 place airstone back in the res add 50ml 11.9% h202 let the plants bath in the solution for 12hours then add a small amount of veg nutes maybe 100ppm?

Ph the solution to 5.6 after letting the systemperature run for 15min?

Top up res with h202 every 3days with 50ml?

Anything sound out of place with what I'm going to do?
