DWC Solar Storm 440 LED X 2 First grow(Comments Welcome)

My girls are extremely short...... it was kind of by accident but seems to be panning out ok.

the elctrical issue of running 1000w HPS bulbs is my main issue. I just have to get this right and not end up getting something that wont cut it/cover the area properly. cannot afford a mistake in purchase. Ok thanks man. I'm gonna dig deeper in this brand light of yours. The results speak for themselves, no questioning that!

Yea they are about 800 a pop....so not a small investment either..... i took the leap not even truly knowing how big of a leap I was taking.... lol

I bet man. This is sorta where I'm at, need the best and don't wanna mess up, cannot afford to.
Probably I will do at least one round still using 1K Hortilux, make up my mind which led unit in this time for the crop after.

If your not in a rush I'm sure I'll be doing a bit more research on some of these other LED techs within the next week or two or maybe even start tonight. I enjoy the research. I'll be honest if I think there's a better more cost effective route to go. Obviously I'll be slightly biased but I won't be scared to say what I'd invest in after the research.

I somewhat lucked out as I continued to do a lot of research once I was finding LED seemed to be far from the preferred method, simply to ease my concerns. I wasn't nearly as educated on the subject when I actually made the purchase.

At this point for me (as I've seen they can flower) is to see if it holds up for its 5year expected life. That will be a large factor for cost efficiency for atleast the first 3.

was just looking around real quick, and yeah, your 440 model is like 8-900 bucks, im sure when I'm ready can find the lowest possible price, but for the 880 model, that says covers 4x4 which is what I would want, from just under 2grand to over 2900 for their new model some peeps are selling for. definitely I'm not into spending over 2grand for this shit. And thinking about running two 3x3 440 models, wont even fit/work out properly.. grrrrr no worries, not doing anything now.

I'm using 2 440 for a 8x6 room. Obv this gives me room to walk around and what not. They would flower and perform better in like a 5x6 or even 6x6 tent. I have them over closer to one wall. My walls are layered in orca paper. I notice significant gains on the side that's close to the wall reflecting light back on it. Thinking of putting up a hanging sheet of orca to act as a "wall" next grow. For the side the wall is much further from

Oh I'm sure it's a mistake!!! Lol. But I'd be confident I could get same performance out of those for half the price

Edit: ^ with the quantum boards after they told you to screw off when you asked to place the order of the CLWS 1100 for 179.

Day 41 Flower

So i obviously want to weigh everything so I have a bench mark. The only thing so far that's dryed and been able to been weighed so far is that one accidental snip of the bud when trimming. That was .9. I'm keeping the plants seperate too because the small one wasn't even supposed to live and I'm picking off that one early alone. That way I can get a true g/watt based on lighting alone off the normal one.

All weed picks here are still drying so weight not accounted for.

I usually get 25% of the wet weight if you trim wet

So I had planned to go back through and edit early posts with build stuff but I guess I'll just add on the end. Here was my idea for door and intake with something to block light from escapin or entering the room. High grade furnace filter duct taped to both sides of box fan(also helps block light)

Day 42 Flower

So the bud that was on that cap is dry after about 4 days and still has that hay or fresh smell to it... which I don't think curing will fix. So I tried turning down the dehumidifier while the weed hanging is drying to try and see if I can slow it down. I know it's premature but it shouldn't go from wonderful to hay.

Edit: oh that's 4g so 4.9 total on little girl so far hehe.

After reading again I think it might be getting too warm in the closet I was drying in and not so much about the length of time. Saying terpines can evaporate above 70.
