Looks like that it's own skill set. Decarbing before cooking and then slow simmer.
You lose a lot when decarbing in the oven tho. I make cocobudder in a crockpot hooked up to a variac so I can crank up the voltage and get the coconut oil hot enough to decarb right in the oil so any volitiles like terpenes get saved.
Once cooled down to below 212F I add about 5% liquid sunflower lecithin then refrigerate the oil, thaw and cool again so the lecithin binds the cannabinoids and helps with absorption when you eat it. Keeps much longer than budder too without refrigeration. Much healthier than butter too which is mostly garbage tho I do love it on my toast.
Rosin presses are the rage these days and probably the best way to get quality concentrates in the safest manner possible. Once we get pot re-legalized here in Canada using flammable solvents to make make oils will carry a maximum 14 years in prison. Prohibition 2.0 on the way but most people have no idea what we are losing to get stoner pot for the masses. Harsh drug-impaired driving laws that will make it near impossible for me to drive legally as I'll never be below the ridiculous low limits they are setting. They take your car and license until you are done with the courts! What kind of BS is that! A cop gets to just say you're impaired and there goes your car without any kind of real proof.
IMHO rosin is for stoners and not serious med users like myself. Still, rosin can be used in all sorts of recipes but is mostly dabbed for the buzz. I was a stoner for 40 years before I got into it for meds so I'm not judging.
Nice crop by the way!
