Dying Grow Room HELP!

I have posted before in regards to all my plants dying off after about the 2nd week of Bloom.

We have experimented with nutrients, air flow, water, soil, hydro, ligthing, etc.

We are now grasping at straws.

COULD IT BE THE PAINT IN THE ROOM?

I shot the entire room (floor excluded) with Behr Latex interior flat white paint. This was shot up in April. It is possible that the 12,000 watts of light is off gassing and killing the plants a slow death?

Please help :wall:

Pics now posted. These pics are about week 2 and week 3. They go downhill from there to where all the leaves are dry and falling off the plant

Looks like over fertilization to me.

Nitrogen Toxicity, leaves look like they are burning from the tips and edges inward and the Nitrogen Claw is a dead giveaway. I suggest that you flush the hell out of those plants with properly PH'd PLAIN water and stick to plain water for the next few feedings. Just my opinion. Good Luck. :peace: OUT!

We tried that also. We PHd the RO water to 5.8 and flushed the hell out of the plants. We did the ebb/flow thing for 15 minutes 1x per day for 2 days. We then went back to the recommended nutrient levels for week 1 (eventhough they were in week 3). They still went downhill. When you say PLAIN water are you talking out of the tap non purified or filtered?

balance out ur nutes ur using to much thats y the plants leaves r deformed. dont give it anymore nutes . when u ave to water it next flush it and gradually start em back on the nutes when u see improvement , start the nutes in small doses n gradually bring em up bu not to the level u had.
imagine these were ur eyes. you would rub them gently and use eye drops not smack em n use tobasco sause!!!!

I hear and sincerely thank you for your advice on the over nute solution.

We are flushing and lowering nute levels.

As a test, we also brought in a 4 week old knee high that was lively and healthy as could be. This specimen is in soil and the only thing we have done was water it with RO phd at 6.5. See the enclosed pic. Kinda looks like the other plants.

Other ideas? could it be toxic paint or crap seeping up through the concrete floor?

The enclosed pic is week 3 of bloom in soil in the same room

I don't have any experience with paint fumes in my grow room but it does look similar except the leaves are curling up, looks like a Phosphorus Def possibly. Here's a pic of a plant with phos def.

you did the proper thing creating a control and bringing in a different healthy plant. no experience with it, but yea you could have some off-gassing.

I dont really think off gassing is your problem. How many plants are you growing under 12,000w of HID intensity? is it possible to cut down on the lighting for a bit n test out another plant brought in from another grow??

--Also, you say that you've messed with Environmental controls, and tried to solve the problem that way also?? Im asking because to me, it looks like light/heat burn. look at the bottoms of your plants. Still lush and green from the last pic i took a look at. But the tops are what is mostly fried. So if i were you, i'd take another look in that direction, because it cant be your nutrients, pH of your water, or any other factor having to do with what your feeding them, mainly because you say your paying attention to all of this already. So if everything on the feeding end is taken care of, then you have to look at the environment. And if the cause were Off Gassing, the leaves would Turn bright yellow, and then they would slowly die off, not getting crispy at all, but rather wilting would occur. At least with the offgassing that everybody was experiencing when Hydrohut whopped out their line of Toxi-Tents anyways, lol.

So go back to setup man. That is ALOT of light to be using in one grow room, and if your in Newbie Central looking for help, I would almost suggest that perhaps your biting off more than you can chew at the moment. But then again i dont know you, and you could be a pro for all i know, lol.

--Solutions for complex problems are too often hiding in obvious places.--

good luck with your grow homie. Hope you get up to snuff :D

--I wanna see some pics of this setup dude. Thats some serious firepower.

It's hard to tell from the pic, is the problem affecting only the top, or is the middle and/or bottom also affected? That would help narrow down if the intensity of the light is the problem.

OK, so I talked with a local expert who tells me he has heard this story recently from 3 othre people. All of which are on the House qnd Garden products (aqua flakes a and b). any of you out there have issues with H&G? The guy gave me some General Hydro products (Flora Series) to try.

Hey Samurai,
I know this is an old post, but how did everything turn out? I seem to have bad room syndrome going on too and I have just located a full, 5-gal bucket of paint that was holding up one of my tables which had a rust hole in the lid at the top. The leaves are starting to do the same thing, I also used a control like you did and sure enough, the same thing started happening to that plant too.

Thanks in advance to anyone who may have a solution. Btw, the strain I'm using is SFV O.G. Kush
