Dynagro is under-rated as fuck

Looking good. Interesting they are flowering so soon.

Yeah, I was bummed about that. I planted them when there was 13.5 hours of sun almost a month ago. I guess that will do it. I'm hoping to find a variety that won't flower so easily at 30 degrees. lat.

About 5 years ago I planted a couple outdoors that started flowering as soon as like April, and I'm at your lat! If I had to guess you're either in Texas or Florida.

Change gears - my harping regarding the harm done by high P foods has now been corroborated and reported by Homebrewer who did a DG comparision of the Foliage Pro and Grow. The FP, a 9-3-6 not only grew a nicer plant but yielded 10% more. Clones were used. HB responded to a question about his 'Final Results' post in another forum with this - "I can't promise a gain when switching to Foliage Pro but I think the take-away is that our plants don't need large amounts of phosphorus and formulas resembling a 3-1-2 or 3-1-3 should perform very well start-to-finish over conventional 'bloom foods'. "

Very good info. Thanks for sharing! I have some beastie bloomz left over should I not use it ever again, or is the occasional small dose mixed with DG FP ok?
I don't mean to change the subject, but regarding your plants that began flowering and my plants as well, do you think they will continue flowering throughout the summer or will they begin to reveg at some point? I'm kinda hoping they will continue flowering.

They'll continue flowering. This was some old Sensi Skunk backcrosses I did. Looks like they added some rudy genes many years ago.

Was that FP start to end? Where did he post? I would love to take a look.

Thanks

This is my current situation and I am using coco-coir, can I just stop and switch to dynagro? I just want to see what the fuss is. Day 17 (OG/Holy Grail Kush) 1000w

Ideally I think you should at least 'test' DG for an entire flowering cycle instead of the last 40 days or so but it shouldn't hurt switching mid-flower. Both Grow and Foliage pro would be great in coco from start to finish, foliage pro probably being the better of the two formulas. Feed based on EC but be careful, a little DG goes a long way.

Foliage pro and pro-tekt for veg? Ideal ppms for the silicon are? add foliage pro to reach desired ppm? I have a couple weeks left in veg and by and large my garden looks healthy....my concern is the proper appplication/ ratios asn the frequency of application...I am a coco grower. There is a ton of info in this thread, I have read it all and just wanna do it right the first time. Thanks.

I use enough protekt to balance out the pH of the base nutes, pH up also works fine too but I happen to like the benefits of silica (add protekt first).

If your garden looks good now, feed at that same ppm with DG's base (foliage pro or grow).

In the event that I would require additional C, Mg is cal mag safe to use? Is there anything incompatible with Dyna-gro?

Uncle Ben and HomeBrewer are two that will not steer you wrong.

Thank you, brother.

I am at five weeks into flower. I have been following the dynagro feeding chart other than easing into the dose early on. So I am using mag plus and protekt as recommende. Obviously it is impossible to say that they couldn't be healthier, but my plants are happy.

I am still curious if there is any value to adding some molasses as I get to the end of flower. Buds just started to swell up the last day or so.

If everyone is using pro-tekt to bring pH up for dynagro foliage, and is mostly K2SiO3, doesn't that suggest dynagro foliage NPK is a bit short in K to begin with and that pro-tekt completes this?

Dyna-gro foliage is a 3:1:2 ratio. With the pro-tekt, wouldn't that make it closer to the 3:1:4 that many claim to be "optimal"?

Might as well use them in conjunction with one another. When I do my feed I use protekt magpro and grow. on flush days i do Calmag Liquid Karma and Hygrozyme ph to 6.2.-6.5 in my coco or 5.8 to 6.0 in my hydro buckets. love dynagro, they are really under rated, just be careful using nutes in early veg. also its more concentrated, so i run about half to 3/4 the recommended dosages using dynagro feedcharts. i also add epsom salts occasionally at 1/2TSP per 5gal water. good luck, ill never leave dynagro.

Buds swell up based on genetics and 16 essential elements. They need nothing more.

I've found no value in the use of molasses. I think it's another feel good thing we fall for based on hearsay and sales pitches.
