Dynagro is under-rated as fuck

There was a study I read about while doing research on Warren Buffett where it showed that people, regardless of actual proven quality of a product, would tend to actually buy a pricier product over similar products that were on a lower shelf with a lower price

IOW regardless of the fact that DG will give solid results, the average consumers will opt for a pricier shinier product like AN or GH and assume that because it costs more, it must be a superior product. (To be fair I dell to this myself as my first nute line up was first Fox Farms big grow for veg followed by Advanced Nutrients sensi bloom A&B, big bud, bud candy, rhino skin, overdrive, and finally Final Phase for bloom... cost me a left nut for all of that shit.....)

Now that I know better I look at the make up of nutrients and though I'm have very little experience and knowledge of nutrients for plants in general, I feel I can make way better decisions as to what to use my hard earned money on.

With thay said, I've noticed that as far as I can tell, The ever unpopular Miracle Gro is very similar to Dyna Gro as far as ratio and containing micro nutes...

So I conclude with the question, why all the hate for miracle gro????

Have first hand experience that shows that's true.

It's all about marketing, and I have to admit it, the cannabis sellers are geniuses when it comes to marketing, witness Advanced Shysters. They (and the rest) have fine tuned their hype to a science. They know and play off the fact that most of the cannabis industry buyers are sucker bets. They realize that most are not botanically educated, are young, are newbies..... many have never grown anything before and will believe damn near anything you tell them.

I just cringe when I read that some dupe has spent $800 on a bunch of crap.

Good point. They're all about the same. I must have a dozen brands sitting on the shelf and in 25 lb. bags in my shop. It's understanding plant nutrition, NPK and micro values that is key. Most buy the label, do not have a clue what's in it, and then fill up the Plant Problems forum with the same ole "help, my leaves are yellowing, what's wrong?"

It's more of a feeling than a fact but I believe Peters uses very high quality salts. It dissolves on it own without even having to stir most times. It's also hygroscopic (easily absorbs moisture in the air). Jack himself explained their "method of madness" to me many years ago, and that was one of his comments. If it is very hygroscopic, means it's a very pure product with no buffers/fillers.

I've been doing this a long time and just when you think you've got it figured out mama nature beats you up with another humbling experience. Latest case in point which I'm gonna fix this morn - I have one Key lime tree that began getting these black necrotic spots on the newer leaves. Those spots have a tiny but prominent yellow ring around them. Spider mites, right? OK, so I spray for mites. WRONG.....manganese deficiency, locked out by too high water pH.

Best statement I've seen all morning and for all of you out there in never never land that are still inexperianced. BEWARE ! You can save your self a lot of money and prevent a lot of problems to boot !!

I would speculate it may be because haters of MG just parrot this hate without knowing why. Rarely do I read specifically why someone hates MG. I notice there usually is no distinction between a soil grow and a hydro grow which makes all the difference in the world. MG has super-high levels of urea which requires bacteria (soil) to properly process. Put MG in an inert grow and watch death before your eyes.

Yea and that's the one thing I can say I learned from RIU Thanks to guys like you. Most people think there some secret formula or step by step way to grow top notch stuff and That's simply not the case. A lot of its is based on a solid general knowledge then being able to analyze problem and use deductive reasoning to get to a solution. That's my goal at this point. Screw grams per watt or how frosy nugs are or mind blowing end results. I want to get the basics down and get to where I want to be knowing that it was skill and experience that got me there, not accidentally getting there by throwing nutes at the plant blindly without really knowing the "behind the scenes" workings
 
I decided to give DG a shot about 9 months ago after I found this thread. First up was Bubblegum. I veg'd with grow, flowered with bloom... so so results. Next up was some Super Lemon Haze and I stuck with grow all the way through. I was nothing but impressed. I think I had to break out my ph down once the entire grow. Fed them lightly at 400 ppm, came out beautiful. No deficiencies, zero problems. A month into the cure and I can tell this shit is going to be killer. Next up I am going to run 6 different strains and going with with DG grow all the way through, again.

I feel like such a gullible asshole spending so much on nutes before.
 
Gullible is buying any bottled nutrients.......I mix my own soil from scratch with everything in the soil, I feed the soil,the soil feeds the micro herd and that feeds the plants...and for hydro growers they sell all those salts in bulk for pennies on the dollar.All these nutrient companies are ripping all the noobs off and laughing all the way to the bank.......
 
I certainly do not have the time or desire to mix dozens of diff. nutrients to get what I can get in one fifty dollar bottle of dyna.

roughly 8 cents a gallon per rez.

no brainer really. What's your time worth?
 
Idk about dozens, but once your familiarized with the ratios it's pretty simple and not time consuming at all.......idk I just like saving money......but hey to each his own.......good growing and a bountiful harvest to all......

Even the GROW seems to have more Phosphorus than you REALLY need in the Cannabis plant when grown in Coco.
 
Thinking of giving this a shot.. I use botanicare now.. What is a lineup I need for soil? I read just grow and bloom will work..is it worth the switch?.
