E$kobar Genetics

You know, i'm a fan of sannie/e$kobar, but I wish thye'd not do that.
The same problems with the sugarpunch, the second run wasn't the same because, it wasn't the same.
Keep the genetics the same, or it's simply not the same plant.
From what I read, they will be releasing the chocolate rain in regular also, but they are also making a feminized version of it. I guess the feminized is going to be released before the regulars though.

meh.. I don't like feminized plants..
In my experience they just don't grow with the same vigor that regular seeds do, but I could just have bad luck. Most of my plants are from moms and clones rather than seeds.
Also depends on the "type" of feminized, I have grown some super strong herb from hermaphrodite moms/dads...
but then ya gotta be on the lookout for nanners.

What do you mean the second run of SP wasn't the same? Did he use different plants? I think it's a pretty unstable strain looking at grow reports. Jetdro who was posting on here about seeds not germinating was super impressed with the results he got. I've seen a few others. Then I see some folks get some less impressive phenotypes. I definitely had a couple who did not shine near as much as the winners did.

just gonna quote his most recent post about it... this was the guy complaining about the seed color and how none were gonna pop (they all did):

That was from the most recent run. I think it's just a stability issue.
if I recall, I remember reading, either on opengrow, or here on the gargantuan sugar punch thread, that he had to do a different method to make his second run of the sugarpunch, I could be totally wrong, but i'm fairly certain I read something, somewhere, that the recipe/parentage/feminizing method was different.

I'm pretty sure nothing has changed. One of the parents tends to be sterile so it doesn't always take very well. Honestly I doubt he'll keep this strain around much longer, but who knows.

In sadder news my dog died this morning. She was at peace. She was still getting around eating and drinking but when I came home this morning she had passed. RIP lucy.

I took her to the vet today. She still seems to want to keep going, she's not off hiding in corners. Granted she couldn't do that easily anyway. But she managed to get up the stairs today and eat a lot after getting a shot of steroids. I'd like to start her on my CBD nordle cookies but she doesn't like them.

The vet figured she had a couple weeks left of decent quality life. She still is happy to see me etc. It's a really tough call though.

At one point last night I thought I should just do it for her own good, but the vet was pretty reassuring. She is in the pallative care stage. It's really sad man. I am very deeply connected to this particular dog. I've had dogs die before, but this one just seems to hurt a little bit more.

She's a wonderful dog and we've gotten through a lot together. She was supposed to die almost 8 years ago.
Do you mind telling me what you think of nordle genius

It surprised the hell out of me. I posted up a thread about it here under the title Good CBD varieties?

It looks old school, but it works very well. I like it a lot. Will be running it for a while. Also going to be starting to hunt through more CBD varieties as I like the way this one makes me feel a lot.

I just rediscovered this thread and after catching up on what I missed, I feel pretty terrible. I am so sorry for your loss, but she is in a better place given how you described her condition.. hang in there!!

So, so, so, sorry man.
I'm a grown-ass man (sort of a manly-man too), and I am tearing up just thinking about it.
I hate to say it, but just like when you get your heart broken, it's sometimes the best thing to fill that void with another puppy... I understand if you need time, but just like when you get your heart stomped by a lady, it's sometimes best to just get back on the horse.

I have a 2 1/2 year old Bullmastiff x King Shepherd mix that keeps me going. He's basically still a puppy... a 130lb puppy.

I don't think he quite understands what's happened yet. It's in the cards though to get another dog.

awwww man... that's the worst... poor bullmastiff... poor lil guy...those are adorable breeds by the way, I used to have one, but my ex GF took (stole) her from me when she moved out.
Sorta offtopic, maybe get some dog-insuarance for that big guy..... my old dog tore BOTH her tibia placiar (sp?) ligament.
6 grand and change for each surgery.
Especially If he is an active/jumpy dog.

Yeah, he already had to see the vet for his ACL. He pulled it running. I've thought about insurance but it's pretty new and the companies are less than responsive when I have inquired. I sent a couple emails out never got a response on either. Also submitted for a quote... no response. Technically he's a mutt so I imagine that would help his insurability.

I am sad to announce that E$cobar will no longer be breeding commercially. I got this directly from Sannie. Hopefully E$sco took up an offer from another company and is producing for them. Regardless I will miss the man and his fine projects

Cheers

That's too bad. His blueberry sativa male was incredible, and his c99 work was quite good as well. Still have both his Chocolate Rain and Lady Cane f3s to run.

Sad to hear. I really liked what I grew from Eskobar. Still have a pack of cheeseberry haze, chocolate rain, chocolate mix, and Durganchitral. One of my fav strains for bag appeal are the new blue diesel. Going to run some f2s soon and try out some new blue diesel f2 x herijuana. The f2 nbd's are almost navy blue/black, have a nice blueberry taste, with a nice nirvana indica day time or night time high. Smoking at night will bring on the yawns.
