Hello everyone,
I have an outdoor grow, this is my second year growing. I did pretty well last year for my first time, but some of my plants started to flower early in the summer (june) so I brought them inside under flourescents with a timer to give them 18 hours of light. Then I would bring them back outside in the morning after the timer switched on early. So it was off from 12am-6am. As soon as I stopped bringing them inside and left them outside at night they started their preflowering in early August like I wanted.
So this year, I didn't want the same thing to happen with the early flowering, so I just brought them in from the beginning to give them 18 hours. They are outside from 7am-6pm, and brought inside under flourescents from 6pm-midnight then it turns off, then it's back on at 6am, then I bring them outside at 7am. They get direct sunlight from 9am-6pm. This worked well last year, but now all my girls are starting to show white stigmas on the branches. It looks like they are going into preflower mode. They should have another month an a half of vegetation to grow. At least I would like them to have another month and a half of vegging, they would get so big. They are about 3 feet tall now, but seem to have potential to be huge if they can veg until August.
What can I do to reverse the flowering process?
Or are a few white stigmas normal at a certain point?
Should I give them 24 hour light for a while, or just interrupt the dark night with short light periods between midnight and 6am?
They have SO much potential to grow big in the next month and a half, please help!!!!!
Oh, they are different strains, so it can't be the strain. I have an unknown Humboldt strain and an Afghani, and a Indica/Sativa hybrid. All 3 strains are doing this.
I'm growing in containers, Fox Farm soil, and live in Northern California, about an hour east from Sacramento.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
