I keep the cut stem submerged about 3/4" until roots appear then drop the water to put about an inch or two of "air space" between the cut end and the water so the roots get a definite oxygen supply. How high do you keep water levels?
For all the skeptics, I cut clones ten days ago from two plants that were almost 2 weeks into flower, you can clearly see tufts of pistils. If you clone from a plant in veg it takes less time... using ONLY TAP WATER this is my results thus far:
I know they could be looking a bit better, but this is just tap water and bubbles
The 4 that already have nice roots are from a strain called Talkeetna Old Man its softer stemmed than the 4 white widow that are in there too.
I've let some go for as long as 4 weeks before transplant, but also have seen them ready to plant in 5 days...Here's some cheapys on amazon:Well, if one can order them dart nerf things that cheap online, I might try too.
For how long can you let it root without issues? I'd like to see a picture of the underside of the lid, with clones in it, after e.g. 5-10 days, to see the root growth...
I'll do the same to mine - compare
