Ethics of Selling

I personally don't have a problem with selling, like everyone said, at a fair price for a fair product. I really don't have a problem with you making enough money to cover costs, pay rent, and eat off of it. If it was a problem you wouldn't be making enough money to support yourself, free hand economics at it's best.

What I do have a problem with is drug dealers. I have a problem with people that use mj, or any type of drugs for that matter, as their only source of income. Some times you can sell your stuff, sometimes you can't. What happens when you can't? Drug dealers sell to minors, get people into drugs that wouldn't normally, lace it with harder drugs to get you hooked on it, all kinds of shit, because hey, they need to pay rent right? Some use the proceeds to buy a gun. Someone else is dealing on your turf? Flash a gun, he'll leave. Neighborhood goes to shit so you can make some cash. I hate those bastards.

If you ran your selling 'operation' like you would a local farmers market, there is no problem. Provide a service at a price that you are happy to sell at, and the customer is happy to buy at. Business not good this week? Oh well, always next week. Someone selling better stuff than you? Get better shit. Someone selling lower than you? Sell lower. Basic business ethics, that's all. If you keep that in mind, I don't have a problem with it.

Personally I wouldn't sell, to me the punishment outweighs the reward. Nothing wrong with giving some to friends though, even charging a little to offset the costs of your grow, but personally I'm not asking them to completly finance it. It would cost me something either way, to buy it or grow it. I'm not expecting you to smoke all you want for free, why should I expect to do the same?

If you have a good job that can support a hobby like that it's really no different than spending cash on something else you enjoy that isn't making you money, but at 18 it's pretty fucking hard to fund a GOOD grow without selling to back yourself up. Although, if/when I have a job to support myself fully and comfortably my operation will turn purely to charity and quality production to get me and my friends and anyone really high for free. That's why I got into selling when I was selling in the first place, I like getting my buddies stoned and I didn't like seeing them ripped off, I just always wished I could do that for them for free.

No offense to you, and this isn't personal or anything, but that's really easy to say now while the $ is still coming in. I know alot of people that held second jobs when they were in their early 20's because they could use the cash and their main job wasn't paying the bills. Now in their 40's and with good jobs that pay $100,000 a year they still work the second jobs, because again, it's extra cash and time they wern't using. None of these jobs are illegal or drug related, but even still, you get the point. It's hard for someone to turn away from extra cash. Who's to say when the point is where your job pays you enough. Is it $10 an hour? or $15? or $30? The transition is the hard part mate. Alot of people say they will stop, but they don't.
