Depends on whats in your well mine seems to do fine
@180 ppm and 7.5 ish ph


As long as your under 250ppm you should be fine anything over and you need a hard water formula or RO


I want to experiment with reclaiming my dehumidifier water but i just dont want something weird from it .....i e i dont know if the water coming off the condeser would have anything in it bad?

I measure the ppm and it comes out to 0 but the ph is at 5.6? So i havent tried using it yet

.2 EC brother I posted the pic that's 200 ppm. I have been here for a year using the same water why would it work for coco Promix soil and not hydro? Especially when I'm posting pics of my F&D kicking butt in the closet and the veg tent taking off . Same water.

Just frustrating to have someone come in not read everything then try and shit on the parade over source water. I'm not having this argument with PSU or anyone again lol .

As for your situation I'd give it a try I know a lot of guys who run the water from their mini split run off or the dehu and they say it's just like R/O.

Just not understanding what's so hard to grasp here my filtered and mineralized well water is the same as an R/O system with a mineral filter . I'm not going to call the builder and get specs just to prove a point on water I've been using for over a year lol . Fucking menutia.............

I use water from my dehu every day. Same as you, 0 ppm and low pH of like 4.8 give or take a few tenths. Nothing weird other than a few of my teeth and fingernails falling out :bigjoint:

Nah i said i want to incorporate a vert set up to use wasted light on the walls haha im cheap like that :)

But tystik and others do vert grows .

Now that im looking into the led strips

Im Almost wondering about stacking 2 setups
Basically double my square footage in half the room .

Then use the gavita for seed grows since they will be different heights in the other half of the room


My mind races with too many ideas not enougj time or room to try em all at once haha

Your doing very well :)

Ok my bad must have been someone else (obviously) but it was a thread I saw recently where you were in the discussion I believe............

I'm wondering if hanging my 600's vertically one over each tray will work and if need be I was considering the strips for extra lighting maybe like I mentioned a page ago running down the poles of the tent in the corners........................

Or a double stack of the (2) 600's in the center and each 4x4 tray do a half circle with the plants..........

hmmm........ dammit here we go again lol

I'll have to dig up my one vert grow I did some time back and screwed the pooch on letting the plants dry out too much lol...........

it is my understanding that if the evaporator in the dehu is not stainless you can get some funky metal contaminants in the water. I have seen mention of filtering it with specific filter types.

It was somthing i wondered simply because i know roots wont grow onto copper
And i wondered if that would pop up beings i imagine most condensers are copper but i could be wrong

But if reds not seeing any issues im going to try

My bad stoner moment on the conversions I just dont mess with PPM some idiot I know taught me EC a while back and now I'm stuck on it lol ;)

Ok here's the dilemma....................

Switch to hydro in the flower tent leaves me 4.3 feet of vertical space to flower. My Raptor hoods take up a foot of that space leaving me with 3.3 feet of space that's to the edge of the hood, not gonna work lol.........

So need to figure out the lighting. How do I best arrange my (2) 600 watt HPS allowing me most use of my space for flower?

I've never run cool tubes, and I don't think bare bulbs vertically would work because you need to be like 16-18" away from the bulb with canopy right......? Can I angle cool tubes somehow and just grow to the roof of the tent?

Any takers here my brain is fried trying to figure this out today...........keep hitting a wall. I like the idea of the tubes because then they lights would still be A/C so that's great.............

Back before i built my big room

I grew in a basment (crawlspace) in a 5x5x5 box
With an aircooled 1k watt digi ballast.

Worked well

But since i had height restrictions i made my hydro setup a low profile one.

Basically setup a 4x4 of nft tubes (5 inch tall)
Dug my res into the ground so i only took up 5 inches of grow space.

I realize putting in a different system doesnt help you much now though lol

But food for thought if you stay in the tents :)

Ive been trying to help @Evil-Mobo make his system more low profile but he no comprender :P
