Well I need to figure out what I'm going to do with my electricity. I need more amperage and I live in a apartment. lol. I was trying to get my a/c running but its just too much already with just 1k watt digital light and the 300w led. Along with a couple pumps.

I already switched the breaker to a 20amp to get a little more out of it but its not enough. So now I'm forced to figure out how to go about running some new plugs and breakers. I can handle the electricity and what not thats easy. Its trying to keep everything nice still and not have any wires running anywhere through my apartment.

I have a dehumidifier I am going to modify for a chiller so that's going to be another thing to add along with another whole tent that needs to be set up. So one more 1k, a exhaust fan, and pumps.

So what you guy's got for some idea's ? I'm not an electrician by trade so idea's are welcome.

Im thinking Im going to have to run a sub panel to the room some how hiding the big ass cable while doing so. This way I can just keep the panel of new plugs in one or two spots for easy removal.

Question is what amp breaker should i go with ? 50 amp ? and some 6 gauge wire 3 phase ?

Well I ran out of AN nutes so I went ahead and bought some dyna-grow. It said 1 tsp per gallon for hydroponic container garden's so I tried half that first mixed to 1 gal so 2.5 tsp and it brought it up to only about 300ppm. So I went ahead doubled it again so it was at 1 tsp per gallon so 5 tsp in total brought 1 gal of RO water to about 800ppm which when mixed to 5 gals isn't enough still to bring it where i want which i was aiming for about 500-600 ppm in grow and another 100ppm in silica. So I doubled that to 10tsp per gallon and it brought it up to about 1800ppm or higher can't tell with the truncheon but it was enough to mix to the 5 gals and have a 1/4 gal left still. So in all so far im am happier with the amount used to get it where i want. With the AN nutes you have to use so much it sucks. Id rather deal with a stronger concentrate and start off with small amounts.

Here's the mom's anyway. The big one is killing me and needs to be re-potted tomorrow I'm thinking. It's so hard to keep the coco moist with a big plant and smaller pot so it's a pain in the ass right now. As you can see.

Aurora Indica Mom#1

Here's the Purple Wreck which I defoliated along with the other two mom's in coco as well.

Here's the Aurora Indica Mom#2

Then we have the Under Current. The plants were put in last Friday so almost a week and they are growing already. Two of them as you can see are a bit smaller than the other two because they are clones and the other two are from seed i transplanted from coco to the net pot.

I went and added a 200w Grow CFL. For 50 bucks with the socket can't really go wrong for the added coverage and wattage.

I will be doing a res change tomorrow and switching them over to the dyna-grow as well. Probably the same 500ppm with 100ppm silica.

Also have plants for doing a diy chiller using a stainless wort chiller picked up from the forums here for where credits do. I bought a big 70 pint dehumidified thinking I needed it but with the a/c right now my rh is like 30% and my temps are right around 77-78degrees.

Then there's my next set of mom's vegging under the 1k with the other mom's as well. They are still on AN nutes once the RO machine makes enough water tonight I will be changing out that res to Dyna-grow as well.

In here there are two Blue Widows, two Purps, one Strawberry Cough.

Let me know what ya think or if you have any questions. I will be building a vertical aero system shortly too I think as well in a separate tent. Probably like a 5 or 6ft tent.

Also had an idea on how to run a sub panel utilizing my current stoves wiring and running the wire behind the cabinets into the closet in my grow room where it will be a perfect spot to mount a sub panel.

Here's just some pics of my oldest Aurora Mom lst'd, fim'd, and scrog'd. lol. As you can tell I keep all vegetation below the net. Going to see how much she bushes out in the new pot I transplanted her to last night.

So I bought a brand new dehumidifier thinking my RH was high because I had some leaf curl on the plants. After buying a new thermostat/humidistat in one I seen that my humidity was only in the 30's which is fine. Now all of a sudden in that one mom tent the humidity is up to 55% all of a sudden. My mom's are fine but the younger purps and blue widow have some leaf curl on the edges of all leaves ?

Any idea's ? Am I on the wrong track ?

I switched to Dyna-grow last week and plants have been regaining there color. I was N deficient as well as cal-mag with AN and the RO water. I have been giving them Cal-Mag just not the past week with the Dyna. It said it had it and I don't believe they are deprived. These plants are in a General Hydroponics Rain Forest system. Just did a res change and brought ppm up to 350 or 400 with some silica and super thrive as well.

Here's the two Aurora's side by side. Both from seed.

Here's the Purple Wreck also from seed as well.

The rest are still unnoticeable changes to the far away eye. lol.

Going to go through and do a lot more defoliating on the big aurora. My Jamaican friend says the plants back home with the best tasting and biggest buds were always the plants with the less leaves. So like me he thinks the same and is back by some long time home growin. lol

I did some serious defoliation last night between the three mom's. lol. This here is the Purple Wreck mom trimmed up and lst'd as well.

Top View

Here's the big mom. Leaf's are coming back seems like with the new coco I bought i can't water it like I was with a different one I was using. I had picked up a bag that was from the same company and looked the same but it was just straight coco coir while I had a coco/perlite mix which I think I like better.

Another shot different setting

The little Aurora mom after defoliating and some lst as well.

Here's my custom a/c diffuser. lol. No the pink leopard print tape wasn't mine. lol

Grow tent and re-did exhaust vent to push through carbon filter instead now.

Then there's the baby's still going strong back four are aurora indica and their ready to go. Two in middle are Purps and are like 6-7 days old no roots but healthy as ever. They are just starting to show. While the four Aurora I cut the same time are going to be ready by the end of the week. lol. The aurora has been cloning and rooting very well and fast so i like that.

The Purple Wreck was the first different clone I cut and it looks like its not going to be a plant I can run all the time with the time it takes to root.

What do you guys think of my new set-up ? Not sure what you want to call it. Its a bit of hempy, dwc, flood and drain and rwdc. lol.

I used 5 gal buckets for the outer res with a thin layer of grow stone. Then I used a regular dirt pot with 4 big holes on the bottom and put another layer of grow stone there for drainage and keep perlite in.

From there I have 4 stakes in each with this dripper type thing on a 160gph pump. I have it on a CAP-ART timer set to 10secs on and 10mins off.

I'm not done yet but Im either going to elevate the flood and drain table on something I build so I can drill a hole and just have it drain back into the res by gravity obviously. Or I can connect each of the buckets with a 1/2 uni-seal and 1/2 black pvc so that they drain back into the res that way also.

Anyone have any input ?

Looks pretty damn sweet! My only piece of advice as far as your setup is involved is to actually have your carbon filter inside the tent with the fan pulling air through it as oppossed to it pushing it out. Thats actually how they are designed to work and last longer. That way your odor is filtered first by the fabric and then the carbon. It will extend the life of the carbon filter substantially. And hey, when that fabric gets dirty, pop it off and replace it with a new piece. Other than that man the plants look happy and healthy! Talk to ya later bud! #Sub'd

Hey Jacob, yah I had it scrubbing in the tent first and I switched it around to push through it instead so that the fan was pulling more air out of the tent but I switched it back anyway because I have the a/c for the plants in veg in a different tent now and the tent with the scrubber has the mom I just put into flower.

I built a table and a veg type tent. lol. I have the flood table elevated so that the res for the plants is underneath with the pump in it and the water drains from the buckets into the flood table and back into the res.

Here's a better over-all shot.

Im going to build a couple shelfs in there so that I can put my mom's around the edges as well.

Ah there's not much going on just yet. In a month or so I'll have some flower's half done. I came into again after taking some time off with the bright idea of going with an under current thinking I would build two and do a 2 month 8 plant perpetual cycle. Cutting 4 plants at one time then another four from another tent 2 weeks later.

Now after just running it in the start up phase's its a lot of water, nutes, and space. lol. I'm hoping that the harvest is equivalent to the head aches, money, and what not else to run. lol.

So I have decided to experiment with some hempy bucket's with grow rocks, perlite, and a small 160 gph pump feeding some drippers. The drippers more or less put out a nice stream of water so I have a recycling timer now set to 30sec's on and 5min's off to keep the water flowing so that its freshened up frequently.

I'm really like the simplicity of the hempy bucket's while still keeping the benefits of hydro growth rates. No need for a chiller or a air pump really. I do keep a air stone in the res because I have one available. I can add or subtract buckets as I go and I can put them in what ever configuration I want to as well. Which works nice because I want to try and optimize my space as much as possible and by growing vertical I can gain a whole lot more.

Yea evo i feel u man honestly what works best in one mans grow doesnt necessarily mean its gonna work in the next mans grow u gotta do what u gotta do to find what works for me its been more error than trial along the way but ive figured out dwc has always worked for me so im sticking to it u know.. Good for u for trying new thing and figureing what all works best for u its the only way to know best of luck man ill be following along.
Peace

Well I was brainstorming looking into my 4x8 tent with just 4 plants and the UC system trying to think how to be able to get more space out of it so I don't ever have to tear down the UC while keeping everything accessible in case anything happens. With that being said I came up with building a sub floor type deal in between the buckets and over the piping. They will be more like a bench I guess with some 3/4 osb on top. They will be able to hold what ever I want while still being able to take out easily with out tools. Ill be doing it tomorrow so no pictures as of now.

At least this way I can grow plants in the UC and not have wasted my money while still being able to do other things around it. Like vegging a bunch of plants at once. Or Flowering a set in the hempy buckets as well as the ones in the UC. Just depends on size of plants and the lights I'll have available.

Ok so I whipped up some quick sub floor type deals for my UC tent so that I can utilize a bit more of the 4x8 tent when I can.

I incorporated a little hatch door and kept the sub floor over the res higher so i could go right over it and make more use of it as well.

Now I'm just waiting on some clones and Ill stack that thing to get some baby's vegging. Need to get this whole show on the road. lol.

This is ingenuity at its best! The subfloor idea is awesome I will definitely be keeping an eye on how this works out for ya! Good luck and keep it up! Stay medicated!

I was staring at it all and thinking what I could do and it just hit me. Do it everyday at work it should have hit me faster. lol. I blame not being properly medicated at the time. lol.

It has helped keep some of the heat from the pipes and pump especially when i get some more lights in there.

I've been working on some vertical rack's for the hempy buckets. I wanted to do two of these racks

I haven't test fitted them yet or built my second one. So I'm not to sure on what I'll have for room when all is put together. I did some measuring and everything but it seems like when everything goes in it ends up taking up more room than i thought. lol.

My tent is about 54x54 so I have a few extra inches but I'm still not sure if I'll be able to run two or just do one wall. I can build some for the 4x8 to but I won't really be gaining much by doing one wall compared to just the bottom.

Here's the hempy bucket plant's anyway. There growing nicely now after taking about a week to root maybe a little less.

Here's the new home for my mom's as well. Going to be build a lip around the edge as well to get a bit more room to work with and still have room to veg 9 plants in the veg table.

Seem's like I have no set routine I will be going with still. I'm going to have to wait work out all my bugs and see what really work's best for me and the space I have. May just end up getting rid of the 4x8 in there and build a 8x8 flowering room to build a more suitable vertical system.

Finally a little update but nothing to see really of the Aurora mom in flowering. She's about a week in also and stretching. Seem's like I look at the stem and it get's to be more like a "trunk" everyday. lol.

She took a bit of a hurtin for some reason. All the plants were getting the same thing but she just kept giving me issues despite everything. It's fine now but the leavs took a beating so I'm hoping for the best still. I think she'll be fine. I also went through and pruned a lot as you can see.

Well its been a bit I guess. Just been busy with everything although I still lurk. Just no time for pics and updates. I met this guy who is a patient and has his card so Ive been giving him a hand and in return I get a caregiver's card again. So it's no worries for me and we are going to do a coop between him, his girl, and myself. So we can have 36 plants flowering at any one time.

So here's the main show my Aurora #1. She's to wide to even get a full picture so bear with me. lol. Stem is a good 1 1/4-1 1/2 thick now.

My hempy bucket set up. Still vegging out. Most likely just scrog these four until i get the vertical set up.

As for the under current that whole situation is at a stand still. Well the plants anyway. I need a chiller and in the mean time Ive been trying to keep up with ice bottles but its a stupid ass plan and assinine way to go about it. To much water for that. Probably is being a spread a little to thin money wise. lol.

Got some new pics of the flowering girl. She's looking good. Its one big plant for sure. lol. Takes up the whole 4x4 tent pretty much. Had to go and buy a hood because she stretched and grew to tall altogether even after fim'ing and putting a screen over it.

Its tied down as well as I went through and defoliated her last night. I'm going to go through again and cut off a lot again, along with staking it down if there's any where that need's it.

So before defoliation::

Here's my mom and veg tent for now. See what happen's as time goes on. lol.

Now for my diy chiller I made out of a 30 pint dehumidifer. Didn't really make but modified more or less. Works pisser though for 40$ bucks. You have to leave it on till you get to your desired 68 degree's then at that point I keep it on a timer for 15min's on and 2 hr's off so far. Water is still so cold. lol. Hard keeping it at 68 now. lol

Thanks man. I just try and make the most out of the space I have. I'm pretty much doing something in there everyday. lol.
Building shelves or re-arranging things trying to make it cleaner, organized, and economical.

My next task is to run a new sub-panel into my room but its going to cost me a few bucks so I haven't had the money to drop on that yet.
I can't plug in anything else in there with out blowing the breaker. lol. I have plans for 2 or 3 more 600's still and a t-5 8 bulb set up.

I'm trying to think of the best way I can squeeze two vertical racks into my 4 x 4 tent. Its really 54in x 54in so i have some extra room to play with. I was going to go with 5 gal buckets and 12 plants per shelf I have but now I'm debating on going with a smaller bucket or pipe set up to get a bit more room in there. Its a hempy drip style set up so I don't have too much to worry about.

looks like you're going after it on all fronts!! one suggestion i would make when it comes to the uc is to veg the plants up larger in a separate container before throwing them into the main system. vegging 4 plants in a 5 gallon tote is sure easier to change out and adjust than messing with 25-30 gallons of solution. if anything gets out of line you can very easily dump it and start fresh, not to mention everything seems to go smoother in the uc when plants already have an established root system going in. no lack of effort in what you have goin down thats for sure. good luck i'll be checkin ya out as you go!!
