If it runs at 74dba how many dba could a custom exaust lower it? Depending on that Im interested in that. Hope I can do it myself if its anyhing like the last video I think I can handle it.

I watched a tip video on my model and should get gas stabilizer and run it every 2 months. Make sure it runs. Etc.

This is almost exactly what I did, too! The only slight problem is that the narrow slit under the door only allows so much air to flow out and there is a lot of resistance set up in the "manifold." But it does work!

Yall think ink bird makes accurate temp control outlets? I got this random brand and its not reading sharply like my hygrometer.

Its off by too much and use this for my dry room. I need it to keep a accurate 65F+ but not too much. Simply to protect dehuey.

Mines allowing it to get too cold or too hot and sporadic.

Damn Im just reading about the co from the gen and how dangerous it is. I dont understand why running a car in driveway or motor bike etc why its not any different.

I guess if I want to do this to get a co meter and weather strip the window the cord will go through.

Idk about all this though, neighbors could complain but I just called the city and they didnt say its an issue.

Reading people say many die every year from it but also many saying its fine.

If it's in an an open outdoor space it shouldn't be too bad... but also I guess a genny doesn't have any exhast filters etc like a car does, so it's probably a fair bit worse than leaving a car idling in the drive way for example.

I'd guess generators don't have to meet emmisions regulations etc, too, so again, guessing, aside from maybe not having very good filtration on the exhaust, the fuel mixture for motor itself is probably not fine tuned/optimised to improve emissions like modern cars are.

Should have the cord go through window on another side of the house.

Just reading lots of people dying from wind blowing it into the house through a window same side as gen. Just the right gust and duration to make it happen.

Also cant have it under an awning or sauphet excuse my spelling. I almost planned to do that. Suprised manual didnt say any of this. Just the obvious.

Scary that at night if a CO meter goes off youre more likely to suffer confusion to even know why theyre beeping. Let alone to haul ass out of there.

To never run it at night because of that. Gosh damn Im scared of the thing but I should grow cahones too instead of just weed and man up. Use the thing.

My memories getting worse with all this weed use but I think it only said keep it 10 ft or so from an open window. Nothing about 20ft away from home and any flammable structures.

Just nothing like I found outside of the manual about this. For things like this I typically read the entire manual and I did. I did for a rotory tool. Just anything powerful and sketchy.

Depending on the kind of muffler you use (some motorcycle ones are better suited for small gas engines), you could probably expect to knock off anywhere from 15-25% of the sound with the custom exhaust. Doesn't seem like much, but it would make a noticeable difference for sure. Especially to the closest neighbors.

Anytime I need to take my generator to some other site, I always bring a 4x4 half sheet of thick plywood along with. Then I lean it up against the gen on the side I'm working from (with the exhaust side pointing away in the opposite direction), and it actually does a pretty good job of blocking the worst of the sound from that side. So I don't have to hear it as bad, lol. Bonus, it can be used as a cover real quick if it starts raining.

Oh and if you upgrade to the dual or tri fuel carb kit, you never have to worry about bad gas again. Just leave it hooked to a propane tank or even the household natural gas line instead, and it will stay ready to go for years.

Idk how Id make it connect to home gas but with that or a tank, I read you cant leave valves open. Someone said the manual said so for the remote start and said thats a horrible idea.

Im interested in the muffler if its something Im capable of, emphasis on capable.

Learning about dba looking at charts after a certan noise level the dba units become concentrated. Like 114dba to 110 is like multiple fold to the human ear.

So up to 25% of reduction sounds like a ton. 74dba is pretty loud but 60dba isnt too bad thats like my 8” vortex inline fan I returned. Too loud for a occupied bedroom.

Outside that wouldnt be too bad let alone if it can be lower than that. Would the exaust upgrade help reduce CO emmisions?

Home gas is trickier to setup and tune with a gen, but yeah you would need the tri fuel kit for that. Propane (the dual fuel kit) would be easier, and many gens come with the kits already now days..

Idk about leaving the valves closed and not being able to run remote start, but to me that sounds the same as telling people to pull the stove out and turn their gas valve off every time they are done using the kitchen, lol. Still, even if you do have to leave it shutoff until use, it beats dealing with gasoline and gummed up carbs every year.

Even with a better exhaust setup there is still a lot of engine noise, so making some kind of small shed or pallet shack enclosure with a roof to park it in would help even more. Or just leave it parked in the bigger shed next to a wall, and install one of those through wall exhaust extension kits.

Also longer run time too, idk why a tank is so scary to me. Im just not a power tool using person other than a jigsaw and power drill. Just anything dangerous Im not used to.

idk how to explain lol like working in factory vs desk work. Barely brave enough to drive and even then Im super careful. I didnt get to grow up riding dirt bikes quads loud things.

Spend a lot time indoors. Using this gen is going to be a adrenalin rush.

The tips video I found had a great tip I didnt think about but obvious. Just put the expiring gas in your car. Duh lol. So I can try seeing if roommates will buy my gas. I hardly drive anywhere.

But the AI bot told me on amazon to let it run till it stalls to purge the gas.

That bot is a new edition I noticed and its creepy how smart it is. It actually often helps avoid reading the description at all. It can answer smart questions and even my dumbass questions.

But the tip video said he keeps his tank full so it dont corrode from moisture in air. More to it than that I dont recall.

But yea I think I can look into the building to conceal sound it said up to 40 percent. Id feel better about it but damn I need to run this thing just to make sure its not a dud.

Cool it has a pull cord and somewhat of itsown alternator. People said they had theirs 8yrs and reviews of reliability.

They want to get a shed at some point I wonder if that would help. But yea is it 90dba because its echoeing or whats the dba with it out in the open?

He said 9500 I looked it up its the same dba rating as mine. It sounds better just listening but the meter is throwing me off. Is that 74dba to 64dba then?

Its a bit of work but its better. Im probably just going to try it out might not be that bad people have theirs clearly without any reduction. I hear it from my house 5 houses away.

Shit lol thats more reason to shelter it. Like yall said I missed where you said it can indeed be in a bigger shed thats already there for lawn stuff. Might try it with out and surely try it inside a shed we soon may get.

Damn feel a fool just now calculating watts I somehow forgot I only get 30a. The veg room would need 1400w and the dry room like 700w. Foolishly realize fridges freezers are like 500-800w each.

No way I can do everything I thought. Just the grow room and improvise dry if I just harvested, move the tent of nugs closer to my room. Thats all.

Id need a long as welder cable. That wont be cheap. Id only be able to get another welder cable for the fridge and freezer which would be mini which I dont even have yet. Just sharing atm.

So thats a ton of money for something Im just being too paranoid about. Id need to comprimise something maybe only have one light to keep veg plants from flowering.

The dry room having the dehuey if needed in summer time. Just calculating absolutely everything, but I could remove 400w from dry room if I had to too.
