what can I use to to replace this so I can run my exhaust out ? Without cramming it through the crack

If you can remover the louver you may be able to find a galvanized register boot to fit the opening. If not you could find someone to bend up one.

I would remove the window, and cut a piece of particle board to fit the opening.

paint the outside black and mount a vent in it. I seal mine with expanding foam because it is sturdy.

I had to do the same thing in my basement. I removed everything I could then plywood inside outside with insulation in the middle. Picked up some 4” exhaust fittings and it worked great.
