Welcome to RIU ;). You're not off to a good start bud.

Hey guys,

So one of my girls was 50% red pistils 2 weeks ago, and i flushed her and kept giving her water until today. The weird thing is that after i flushed new white pistils started to show up, and now the main cola has less red hairs! some of the calyxes are still swollen and the trichs are mostly clear.

Should start feeding her again? if so, can i go full dosage?
i think you may be a bit mistaken in what to look for before harvest. if this is not the case, please do not take this the wring way, but i wish to offer a bit of help here.

what you are looking for is actually the trichomes to turn color, not the pistils that are coming out of the plant.

Just don't be a (insert here). I'm sure we can still be friends at this point. Not like I haven't been a complete ass before, and I still like myself just fine :) Here, have some more rep, like you need it. You are obviously not like this all the time. What do you say we bury the hatchet, and not in each other? As my late friend Jim use to say, "SAB" (smoke a bowl)bongsmilie

everything is going as planned it sounds like, make sure u always go by you trichromes because that is the only way to kno how mature ur plant really is

sigh - If you knew how asinine your comments sound then you would understand Homebrewer's tone. Personally nothing pisses me off more then when someone comes on here and confidently spews out advice on the basis of an amateur observation. Regarding the topic of this thread I have personally seen pure sativas do the grow - bud - grow - bud thing, its not changing growth cycles, they just stretch their stem a few times during flowering and the gaps are usually filled in with bud growth. I think it is just genetics, and happens more on the longer flowering plants. Also I run my nutrients right up till harvest. I do let the plant sit in the dark for three days before I chop it though.

... I just finished a cfl grow and in my last 2 weeks it did that too had new white pistal growth. it was explained to me that its the plants last ditch effort to get pollunated. pretty much it will stop doing that soon, so basically just give it straight water and maybe some molasses until 30% of them turn brown
all your fan leaves will start turning yellow but that is okay.. the buds are pulling the last of the nutes out.. plus it will swell the buds.. if you are are week 10 now.. it should be soon. and FYI for the longest time I couldn't see any amber ones, but then all of a sudden it was amber

keep in mind at 10 weeks most should be cloudy/milky.. you'll have very little that are still clear.. make sure you know the difference.

i just harvested a barneys farm acapulco gold. breeder says its a 10 week strain, at 12 weeks i chopped it even though it has been pushing out new grow this last week or two.

Iv done this a couple times... im pretty sure the "new hairs" are nothing to worry about, check the trich's. and if you cant check the trich's, wait until you think its ready, then wait a week more.

shazam, you have smokeable weed lol

i also use 100% organically ammended soil and I do not flush. I just dont feel the need too, theres no chemicals in it to taste bad.

I think the only reason people say go by the trichromes only is because the hairs can often confuse a grower because yes towards the end they can change colors and/or grow new ones, so what people meant when they said a 2nd bloom is just new hairs and plant growth boosting at the end of the cycle, this is because the plant recognizes its nearing the end of its life and it puts out a little faster. So just keep your same schedule of feeding then flushing about a week an a half before harvest...marijuana is so cool because everybody can grow it a little differently, everybody has there own stamp on it, yes you get some bad growers and some bad weed but its such a versatile plant that is what makes it so magical. I mean the majority of us know whats going on when it comes to growing and the ones that don't usually are humble enough to let you know, but when a grower that's genuine enough to ask a question then we need to be as helpful as possible because idk about you guys but all my research and experience is for myself and others, i love to share my information about growing that's why im a part of this thread. I really believe it was just worded different, its not really a 2nd bloom...there just saying it boosts with growth around the 6th week (grows new hairs for instance), and Ive seen that happen lots of times, its just the nature of the plant because its knowing its nearing the end of its life. I appreciate all of you guys on this thread because you people are here to help and you get to pick the brains of some pretty awesome and talented growers.
