Fan leaves drooping before lights out

Hi all,
Currently running 20/4 schedule and have noticed the fan leaves drooping a little an hour or two before lights go out, I'm assuming this is their body clock getting them ready for night nights, otherwise they look nice and perky, just wondering If anyone else out there has noticed simular behavior with their girls? I'm only into week 2/3 of veg and only water every 3 to four days when the pots are lighter and the top inch or two feels dry, I'm not worried at all just curious really.
I probably notice it more on this grow as I've kept her nice and short with tight nodes so she's not really that far off the soil, I've put a support under her just so her leaves don't touch the soil...

Cool, look as though they're trying to fly lol, I may consider putting a thin net over the top of the pot just so the leaves don't touch the soil, what you think, am I over thinking it lol? Don't want to over mother

Leaves drooping can be a sign of problems but, lacking symptoms other than simply drooping, what you're seeing is a normal plant reaction.

Many growers take this as a sign that the plants have "had enough light" but that's not the case. Per Bugbee, the working theory is what you've postulated - its part of the plants daily cycle and, perhaps, they're dropping their leaves so as to trap warm air.

If leaves touch the soil just pull them off. No need for a Net.

DLI and PAR/PPFD are all dialled in to my growing stages, Yes DLI could be to high if light levels we're too much. I mapped my tent out a while ago and new I wanted 20/4 schedule so my lights are dimmed and elevated to give me the correct DLI and PPFD, I also have temp and humidity meters controlling my environment to keep VPD correct.

I have a strain called MAC Muffin that never prays while other strains in the same room are reaching for the sky. Shits weird. As long as they look healthy everything should be alright.

In most cases once plants get used to a light cycle they'll start drooping a little before "sundown".

Excellent cheers, I'm wondering whether to lst her now? Trouble is she's quite tight

Tight? You getting to personal with your plant's man lol. Raise your light a little get a little stretch then you can tie her down

I had a couple plants drooping a lot starting a few hours before lights out. I have seen this before so didn't worry. Turned out I was burning them up with my new homemade growlight. Got my lux, ppfd, and dli where they should be (I thought) for that stage of growth. Two days after drooping started they started clawing and spotting on upper leaves. Maybe you do need to back off intensity some

I've lst before with more spread out nodes, just seems like a bloody nightmare trying to pick through the foliage on these lol... Wonder if it might be worth growing them naturally with tight nugs.
