Really? Bananas are formed by pressure from calyxes?

What caused these ones to form in the shape they are? They're growing that way on their own.


Those are pollen sacs/balls. Bananas are pollen sacs growing within the flower. Pollen sacs are pretty delicate compared to calyxes. The pollen sacs grow into the available space.

Actually it's a hermaphrodite exhibiting both male and female inflorescences. Female pistils, male pollen sacs, and anthers/nanners as you can see in the picture I labeled.
