first attempt 2x3x5 tent 400w

Also i haven't had time to load pics yet but my Afghan lush ryder is about to pop. I can see the stem looped in the dirt about to pop up. I'm only waiting in the Hercules now. Even if it doesn't pop though i got 3 out of 4 so I'm happy.

So i think i can see the leaves poking up on Hercules. This puts me at 100 percent germination rate. I'm so happy. Now all i have to do is not let my noobieness kill these beautiful baby girls.

So i haven't updated in a few days but i was trying not to over water and actually killed my two smallest ones by keeping them get too dry. So i guess it is just la diva and blue mammoth. They are experiencing some leaf canoeing but I'm not to worried. Should i be? I actually just bent little la diva over letting her grow horizontally for now trying to get some more bud sites

I subbed up here bud. I'm about 1 week away from doing my first grow, berry ryder auto's. I too chose auto's because of the learning curve before i get into anything too complicated.

I wouldn't top your plants as ive heard that can stunt auto's, but LST is fine.

wish you had some pics up, i think people will be able to help you much better with a few. Good luck, i'll be watching and trying to help and learn myself.

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg And here is the blue mammoth. Not a mammoth yet by any means but I still have high hopes for this girl. Definitely some major canoeing on her though. I think this was due to heat stress and my broke ass needing better ventilation (which should happen within the next couple of weeks). Until then I just keep the door open with the ac on like 71 and my ceiling fan on high and a small fan by the tent to help blow some of the hot air out.

Leaf tips/edges curling up like that is usually a sign of high heat (I have the same issue). Maybe try raising the light a tad, at least until you have proper ventilation.

Interesting, I'm always intrigued by growers who find their own ways of doing things, what do you do with the coat hanger ? is it a fixture to tie the plant down to ?

Actually for the time being I am only using the coat hanger for its weight. I am just using it to keep the stem layed over. I used it because it is heavy enough to lay the stem over but not so heavy that it lays all the way onto the soil. Just my noob form of training I guess. Lol

Also i put a thermometer in the tent last night finally. Looks like with my light upabout 18 inches off my babies the temp in them is at 78. I will drop the light in a week when i get my inline fan to exaust all of the hot air.

Yeah, just make sure the thermometer isn't in the direct radiant heat of the light or you can get a misleading temps reading. I myself have my thermometer roughly about the height of the top of the plants and with the bottom bulb bit shaded from direct light, it don't even have to be close to the plants cos with a circulating fan going the temps will be the same roughly at all points in the grow room

Tying Clip And Twine.jpgPurely as a matter of interest seeing as how I like to see folk improvise, this is what I use to tie mines down, its garden twine connected to garden clips which you can buy for virtually pennies ( or cents ) from local garden stores, I put a hook in the twine and then attach it to the clip then clip it to the rim of the pot, saves ruining a pot by drilling holes in it like many growers do, I then hook a branch down using the hook in the twine and that keeps height down a bit. So don't worry about the coat hanger lol everyone devises their own little gadgets to use whilst growing .

Thanks man. Funny thing about that is s friend was just telling me last night that he didn't like it cause of the plastics unnatural qualities but i think it will suffice until i devise a better plan of attack (stoner laziness lol).

GL Sir.

I also just completeed my first indoor grow , 3'x2'x5' tent 400 w MH HPS 7 plants, ( 3 too many )
make sure you have enough space around the plants they will triple in size once u flip.
then again u are running Auto's , and I have zero exp with them, expect that them bitches grow fast. hold on tight

The girls are lookin sexy at 15 days from first sight. I will update some pictures momentarily. Both plants are on a light training regiment now. Still no nutes. Water about every three days give or take.

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgAnd here we have 15day old blue mammoth. The first two pics are with her training in place and the second two are training removed. Temps are a pretty constant 75. The girls are lookin good. Questions and comments greatly appreciated. (Especially advice. Lol)
