I have 4 computer fans as intake. The temps here have been cold so I have not had to install the inline fan for the light. So I do not currently have any exhaust. I have two fans to circulate the air. One is actually a heater.

there you go. you wonder why your getting mold... switch half of those fans to outtake... out is way more important then intake... lots of people dont even use an intake.. they just have a good out take that draws air in threw an intake hole

week 4 and I have decided to put them into flower. The last grow got a little to big. So I am going to the other extreme. I'm going small. Plus my buddy has a few good strands that I would like to get some clones of. So I will speed this up a little. Changed the reservoir out today. Switched the nuts to 2-2-2 for transition into flower. They got a good air bath while doing so. I expect a nice growth spurt over the next day or two. They seem to love that once a week air bath.

WTF, 3 out of 4 are male. I fully expected two of them but not 3. So I chopped them bastards down. I was only 1 week into flower so I took some clones from the one female. I will post more pics of the last survivor later when my lights come on. But for now here are some clones cut on sunday.:wall:

Looks like my first hydro grow to the T, same nutes and everything down to the number of females. Ended up with just one female myself that I scrog'd. One thing I'd advise is to cover those empty net pots with something so no light trickles through the hydroton rocks, I'd also fill your one pot with your one remaining plant with more rocks to be sure to keep light out. Also wondering if you braced that lid with anything as I learned the hard way that a rubermaid lid can get quite flimsy when supporting the weight of a large plant and you'll want to be able to open the lid to check your roots every once in a while. Just be thankful you spotted the males early so the roots didnt get tangled badly. I'm new to RIU, used to be on overgrow back in the day, how do I subscribe to a grow journal?

Yeah my last grow was way too big for that setup. I put 6 in that tub and let them grow to about 26" before I went to flower. I had to tie them together and prop them up. This time I only put 4 into the system and kept them small. Once I finish this grow I will probably use this setup for small clones and then transplant them to a larger system. As far as subscribing goes. I don't really know.

I can only imagine how much water six plants would drink in that thing. Its been a while since I did mine but I remember having to refill my res every single day during flowering. I did have really low rh though so that could have accounted for a little evaporation. Good luck, I'll be watching if you need any advice. +rep

Its been a little over a week since I cut the mails down and subsequently had to cut the roots. I was a little worried about chopping the roots but I have not seen any negative effects. She seems to be growing nicely. I have the nutes at 1-2-3. PH right around 6 and the temps are 80 with the lights on and 70 with them on.

That came out male because of the enviorment. Hps are more likley to bring a seed to male than a mh. Red vs blue. High humidity and lower temps are good towards females. High heat is bad. To much pottasium is likly to make more males. Low pottasium and higher nitrogen is good towards making some ladies.
She is a looker tho :). Ph is fine and roots look healthy. that side light adds unwanted heat.
How long did you veg them before you flowerd?

Yo when they are that small put a little bit of Micro in a spray bottle. Do 1teaspoon per litre. I spray mine with that and they turn out more female. I also flower them with an mh untill i knoe what there are. You also should use a very dilute 123 probly a 1/4tbsp gal. I think hydro is no good for seedlings. You should be more focused on making a mom or two. Plants show preflowers around the 3-4 week of growing. I try 16/8 when a seedling. Its more natural and saves you energy. It also promotes females. People say its all genes... I think it has more to do with the enviorment. IF you stress a clone with highheat and light leaks they can turn herms.

Thanks smiley, I definitely don't have any problems with heat. The temps are cold here and I have had to put a heater in the the room with them. My temps generally stay around 70 to 80 deg F. Next time I will have to try the micro in the spray bottle. Are you saying that I should start my flower with a MH. I used a MH for veg (4 weeks). But when I switched to flower I also swapped the bulb to HPS.

3 weeks into flower. Nothing special to report other than I was moving crap around and accidentally pointed my heater right at my plant. I wilted several branches to the point that there was no saving them. So I cut the dead ones off. In the process I broke one of my large fan leafs off.:wall: On top of that I hit the switch on my timer so it would stay on all the time. My lights where suppose to turn off at 7 am. I noticed that the lights where still on at 1 in the afternoon. So I am hoping that all of this did not stun her growth any. Well here are some pics.

I am 5 weeks into flower. She is not looking bad. But with that said I am not all that impressed with the growth That I am getting on my main cola. I am feeding her 1 tsp/gal of GH grow, 2 tsp/gal micro, 3 tsp/gal bloom, and 1 tsp/gal of kool Bloom. I will also be installing another 400 watt hps tomorrow. I am also preparing for my next grow. But pics of that won't come till later. Any suggestions on how else I could fatten up the buds other than C02.

i grew bubble gum and same thing 3 plants 1 female. and they were monsters :(

and ya co2 is the best way to get fat bud.
you can buy soda water and spray it on the leaves for good co2.
and give it the full 8 weeks sometimes theyll hit a growth spurt
