I agree, soil is easier to get your feet wet with. Costs shit loads less too.

Hydro sure can put a new spin on growing. Personally, I started out with hydro, and after 3 failed attempts. I finally have my shit down to where I am now pretty far into flowering now with good results.

Out of town for a bit but came home to see some nice growth on the plants. The purple kush and king kush are both very dense plants so you can't really get a feel for how buddy they are without feeling them up. The ak-47 is going nuts with tons of fatty buds all over the place.

Also, to those recommending soil I just want to say I've found this very easy to do so far and I think I'll stick with hydro. I see what you mean on leaf curl and leaf burn and I've diluted down the res to compensate and will hold back some on week 7. Week 8 will be a total flush run and so will any days necessary after that to wait on the glands to be perfect.

Ur gonna be ears deep in bud come harvest. Nice job man and way to stick with the hydro less forgiving but more rewarding and really to me it is easier and funner than soil. Anyway lookin damn good. Ill be sitting in the corner with my scirs in hand :joint:

Had my friend come over with a crazy camera and got some really nice close up shots.

I took the pest control strips out and within two days I had spider mites getting started again from old eggs hatching. Put the strips back and they were gone again.

So unfortunately I had some problems with my AC unit and had a hot humid week leading to some minor bud rot on the really dense plants. Today I decided to go ahead and cut the king kush and purple kush and clear out all the rotted buds.

Ended up having to grind up about an ounce but that's in the oven now to kill any mold spores and prep it for making some serious bubble hash.
