I just read your thread from the beginning... took a long time but it was insane dude... so much stuff happened to these ladies lmao... TONS of good info about nute deficiencies... glad youve all gotten things sorted out for now... and good for me incase I do the same thing lmao... anyways good growing

BTW I think your cabinet is awesome flower/veg/clone all in one... I love it dude

Thanks Jiggyfly, I really appreciate the complement. A lot of thought and time went into the design of my cabinet.

If I could rename my thread I would call it "How NOT TO grow weed"....lol. I had no idea going into this that a degree in botany was a prerequisite...lol. Needless to say its been a learning experience but I think I have it down now. Thanks for stopping by. OUT!

My cabinet, which is out in the garage, has managed to not only stink it up out there but it also reaks inside the house, so I got creative and doubled up my odor control efforts. I had a spare odor sok which I connected at the exhaust point using plumbing fixtures. I also bought some charcoal filter material from Home depot and wrapped up both carbon soks. It has helped substantially but has not eliminated the odor, especially in the garage. I do not want to use ONA Gel, only because I don't want to smell or taste ONA when I smoke. Does anyone have a recommended carbon filter that would work in my setup? Here's some pics of the cabinet addition.

I also use Ona. I think its smells great. I've never had any kind of complaint about my weed smelling or tasting like Ona.
Landlord even came in my apt one day....didn't smell a thing. Whew!

I came across your DIY carbon filter thread when I did a search for carbon filters on RIU. I considered your design (and I still am) but found several other threads that recommended using the material I got from Home Depot as a filter. I thought I would give it a shot since it didn't require a lot of work. I also read several threads that claimed Ona gel was extremely strong that, if kept in an enclosed area with the plants, would cause the buds to absorb the odor. You say that's not true in your experience IGLAW? I'm considering getting a small container of Ona and putting it near the door leading into the house.

Thats exactly what you want to do. I wouldn't put Ona right in your cab with your plants, but to have it in the house or the garage, or the entryway is not going to affect your plants. I dont have it IN my tent, I have it open in my apt taking care of what gets by my filter. And I know my filter works well because if I leave the tent open for any amount of time the whole place stinks up bigtime.
If I were to use that 3m carbon filter material I would use many, many,many layers of it. The wholw thing with carbon is surface area. The more the better.

Well Folks, today was harvest day for the WR and BJ. It looks like I will end up with a little over 3 ounces of dry weight between the 3 plants combined (Only 2 plants hanging in the pic). Here's a peek at the next group which should be finished in about 4 weeks, WR, BJ, and best looking of all.....PF. These are much healthier and I expect that they will blow this harvest out of the water. Thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way, especially IGLAW...I couldn't have done it without you, thanks buddy . This concludes my grow journal. Happy growing to all. OUT!

FYI the 4-way (uncle ben's) produced the most, followed by the 2-way (twin towers), and then the 6-way. So between 2 tops , 4 tops , and 6 tops. The middle of the road (4 tops) seems best. But I'm partial to LST. No cutting, no waste. Peace out. Happy growing, happy smoking!

Blackjack is great. It was a tie between the PF and BJ. The PF gives me more of a full body buzz with an somewhat sweet smell and flavor. The BJ gives me more of a squint eyed stoned feeling (my preferred high). BJ's smell (IMO the only downfall) is pungent, skunky, strong and the flavor is about the same. The WR took last place. The high wasn't anything spectacular and it smelled and tasted very similar to the BJ. Turns out it was the WR and BJ that smelled like a big steaming pot of hobo stew. This time around I am going to try and let them flower for a couple more weeks to see if my opinion changes. BTW both BJ and WR (feminized seeds from Nirvana) seeded out in the popcorn buds. IDK if they were stressed at one point durning the grow or if they were Hermies but I got some extra seeds for a rainy day. My guess is that they were Hermies since the PF, which I got as a clone, didn't produce any seeds.

IGLAW: Thanks for the topping conclusion. The plants I just put in the flower area are 4 and 6 tops and they are looking really healthy. I bet I come close to doubling my harvest weight on those compared to my most recent harvest.
