Just finished chopping down and hanging. Did a little manicuring (man I had no idea that was such a pain in the ass!) I've been chewing resin off my hands/gloves for a while now. Feeling alright

Got 3 medium sized bags of sugar leaf and bud for the bubblebags. Should be good times.

She's hanging up drying. I'll try to post some photos soon.. Got a new phone and have to figure out how to take decent photos with it. The flash was just blasting the image out in the dark tent.

Have to add some lights and try some shots

You can see the buds that got crispy.

Unfortunately I looked today and didn't fully trim all the buds!! oh well.. I'll do that later I guess. I'll blame the wife for hanging that one in the tent without it being fully trimmed :D

There in the freezer for the bubblehash? Is this not what I'm supposed to do? I thought you were supposed to use fresh product but may you are supposed to use dry?
 
not sure, i used fresh last time and had alot of "green" content in my water but it was the first time i made it, next time i will let it dry out for a day or so i think it will break up easier.

i wasnt sure how long you were storing in them bags just didnt want to see you go to make you has tomorow or something and wind up with a bag of mold :)

when you do the cold water method you are vigourously stirring the material and water with a metal paddle, this paddle hits the material against the ice and allows for the plant cells to be released into the water. these cells, also known as cholorplasts are what give the plant the grassy smell and harsh taste when you first cut them. they are also microscopic and i dont think even your finest micron bag will filter them all out.

of course this is just me talking out of my ass on how i percieve the process and may be 100% wrong.
 
I have done both, and drying first is IMO the best way to do it. The plant matter is easier to handle, the mess easier to clean up and I feel that the end product was more potent. it may very well depend on what method you use to make your hash though. i have tried water, dry sieve and alcohol extraction and so far my preference is the alcohol extraction. Tastier hash(oil) and better end production(weight). I hear the quality suffers that way, but truth to tell I never noticed, it gets me pie eyed quick as hell and tastes good doing it.

really looks like there is mixed responses from what i gather in the short 5 min i looked wet trim will give you a lower yeild but have less plant matter in the hash, using dry trim will give a bigger yeild with more plant matter (kinda the opposite of what i just said above)


i dunno maybe look around first then decide, i just want you to make the best possible hash man, and for my help you will come smoke it with me right? lol jp man, still want you to have good hash lol
 
I've heard plenty of conflicting reports on that as well bro. Couldn't say what's best. I can say however, I'm glad your going first :)! Your harvest looks real tasty man. Dry weight in a couple days?

For sure man.. how far is it to Canada from where you are?

I saw a video of Matt Rize's and he said "fresh"

No I'm not sure if by fresh he meant "not old" or if he meant "not dry"

Damn...

Sheeeit.. Going on vacay down to Portland, Cape Cod, Providence and maybe Bar Harbour this summer..

Was going to go to Denver but decided that the car drive was way too long with two kids
