First Grow 400W HPS/MH in 3 x 3 tent.

i only have one question that couldnt be answered by the looks of things everything else is percfect, are u phin ur water , and if not you should ~_~ cuz there small for 2 months if im correct on their age .. if not my bad, besides that lookin good, heres a tip go buy some worm casting and make a tea and put some carbs in it budcandy or raw cane sugar to feed the benefiacial bacteria called bacilus do some research u wont some frosty as weed like never seen do it air stone in a 5 galon add that shit the bacterias multiply by million and eat the smaller bacterias
alsp use r/o water or unchlorinated water for ur tea or u kill the bacterias unless u let ur water bubble for 48-72hours p e a c e

Thanks for the tips.. I actually did a tea about 2 or 3 weeks back.. however I thought that when you were in flower that you wanted a more fungal tea and a more bacterial dominated tea during veg and early flower.

When I did my tea I added some molasses, humates, kelp meal and oatmeal, worm castings and some bat guano. The kelp meal, humates and oatmeal were to encourage a more fungal tea. I used whole oats but apparently it is a lot better to use baby (powdered oatmeal) as it is easier for the fungals to break down quickly.

I also added some myco product about 2 hours before adding to the plants.

TBH, I found brewing the teas pretty gross and I don't know if I'll do them in the future.. I'd rather amend the soil in the begining from now on and not have my basement any worse than it already does :D

Outdoors though this summer I am planning on doing teas for my vegetable garden... but no one cares about that :D

I'm not pH my water, but I've ordered a ppm and ph meter on ebay that should arrive soon.

My soil (I have a soil pH meter) is around 6.5 so I'm not too worried about the pH of my water.

I've been using aquarium drops for the past few weeks to remove the chloramine from my tap water

My last water (which might be soon) I'll be watering with plain water and molasses

hey man, im brewing a worm casting tea no0w and it dosent smell bad at all.

i did try a tea with the happy frog fert and after a few days of sitting in a gallon jug it smelled like raw sewage, i think the key is to put a airstone in the bucket and leave it open on the top.

anyways ill let you know how i make out with my tea

hehe. I brew my tea in a 40g trash can and it smells TERRIBLE!!! I have air stones as well as my 550gph pump which turns on twice a day to heavily circulate the mixture. Every time the pump turns on it instantly smells like the back of a really wet bat cave. Of course when you dump a buncha shit (literally) into a pale of water I'm not sure what else I would expect. ;)

lol yeah well i said worm casting tea. if you use manure its gonna smell like manure.

hey can you let the tea "cook" for too long. i started mine 2 days ago and i dont think my plants will be ready for water till at least sunday maybe later.

In the Teaming with Microbes book it recommends 72 hours to get fungals established if your goal is a fungal tea... I think 24-48 hours is okay for a bacterial dominated tea (ie manure, molasses, worm castings)

but I think so long as you have adequate oxygen within the tea (for the aerobic bacteria and to discourage anaerobes) and adequate food supply.. I don't see why brewing for a longer time would be bad.

Also maybe the reason mine smelled so bad is because I added BioMarine to my tea...

Cold Processed Squid... Won't do that again.. if you say the worm castings etc doesn't smell too bad maybe I should try again :D

yeah squid would do it, i use squid for fishing bait in summer for striper fishing and they are horrible smelling

So Here is a close up shot of one of my buds and Trichs.

I have terrible eyesight so I'm just curious if anyone (and if the photo is clear enough) can tell is they are clear or cloudy???

:weed: Black Domina x Golden Skunk approx day 55 flower.

Also just flipped back a few pages and your buds look awesome! Those close up shots of trichromes look like other worlds!

I subscribed because you are vegging out a ton of Herbs in your veg room, like me. Herb growers of the world unite!

Yeah I haven't updated my veg in a while.

Thanks for the follow Ron! :D

I've got a big basil plant.. tons of arugula and 4 different kinds of lettuce going right now.

Peas, Thyme, Sage are also coming along and I have some bell pepper plants that I need to transplant. After my harvest I'm just going to do veggies for a month or two

Actually just had a salad mixed with some of my arugula, mesclun and grand rapids lettuce with some locally produced sprouts and microgreens.. Even the feta is produced in Quebec not far from me.

Awesome!

how are your pepper plants doing, i think i failed mine with a bad light schedule (left them in 12/12 ) they are flowering now but i dont think im going to polinate it. on a side not my cucumbers look like shit but i do have a couple of baby cucumbers starting to grow, trying to hand pollinate them hope it works, if i get at least 1 out of the deal i will be happy lol

The peppers need to be transplanted. I've got 4 pepper plants now but in a small 3" x 3" cube. Going to move them into my soil once I've chopped everything down.

Questions about peppers.. do you need to throw them 12/12 to get them to flower? Also I never thought about how they would pollinate. I'm assume peas self-pollinate? as I'm getting some sprouts/buds on it now. Never grown veggies with any real focus so this is all new to me.

It is about impossible to tell about your trichomes under the HPS. If you can pull the plant out from under the light and get another close up like you did of the other one, I'm sure I could tell ya then...:peace: & :leaf:

So here's my thoughts.

I've got two plants that are around 6-8 days behind on flowering (let's call it a week)

They are not quite ready but I'm pretty confident that my other two plants are ready to come down. They were in 5 gallon pots and the other younger plants are in 3 gallons so most of my smoke is going to come from the ones I harvest first.

I'm going to go lights out tonight and harvest the more mature plants on Wednesday evening (around 48 hours darkness) and the other plants on Thursday (around 72 hours darkness)

Not sure what a difference of 1 day will make but I'm anxious to chop these bitches down.

Also not sure if I mentioned it earlier but I've purchased some bubblebags and will be making hash. Another first for me so it should be interesting. I should have a reasonable amount I would hope as I'm going to be using most of the buds from the plant that had all the deficiency issues and that I burnt with the heat :dunce:

The kit I bought has 3 bags (220,75 and 25 microns)

I'll try to do a photo essay of what I do for y'all to see.

Here are the bags I bought.. they are call xtractor bags? http://www.xxxtractor.com/product_five_gallon_xxxtractor_three_bag_system.html
