Really WTF the fuck last night I posted a picture of a cheap A/C that would help cool your babies room, and some advice I on what I would do with your room to help cool it down but mods must not of agreed thats sucks sorry man. Shorten the ducting every where you can though, it like like you can at least save 6inches from the fan to the hood. and If your wanna know about that fan PM me it was like 50 bucks from costco
Thanks man! That's not cool that the mods didnt accept the post, it was to help me not sell me on something, if yall didnt like it why didnt you just edit it?????
ANYWAY.
The reason I gave some slack to my hood to fan ducting was because the hood will be lowered and raised as the babies grow. Unfortunately where I live there is no Costco so I'll have to make a trip to the Valley this weekend.

Update: the baby jack died. May it rest in peace. I also purchased a humidifier to keep RH above 50 for veg and it isn't doing a damn thing. I think there's too much exhaust to keep te humidity high. If its not one thing, it's a fuckin other.

Finally a quality update, After a week of transplanting there is some new growth on some of the ladies and some of them appear to be coming out of the stun they were in. The baby jack that was struggling was finally put out of its misery and replaced with a rooted jack clone, let's hope this one makes it. I am currently keeping temps about 74-82 with one 6" and the two fans. I am still concerned about my temps once I turn my light up to 600w. I think I might just splurge on a small A/C for the tent, fugg it. ;-) Any recommendations or suggestions?

ALSO I discovered I am being infested with fungus gnats, I added a cup of vinegar and another cup of balsamic vinegar near the plants to try and kill em off that way. If that doesn't work I'm going to try Azamax and pest strips.

I am awaiting my General Organics GO Box so that I can begin feeding. Today I got a deal I couldn't pass up, Great White and Super Thrive for $20. Used both for the transplant of the new baby jack, hopefully it catches up to the others.

I was told I have to give people permission to discuss stuff on my thread? Well heres the permission, discuss all you want, as long as you help lol.

There really shouldn't be a need to buy an a/c unit with just a 600watt, and they they are kind of power hogs as it is. Maybe try venting a different way move the fan shorten the vent hose.

As for the gnats cut up some potatos and place them on top of your soil the gnat larvae are in the soil. The potato will draw the larvae to the top so they can be removed. the adult gnats life span is very short but they lay eggs in the soil numbers are +/- here but anywhere from 50-150 per gnat. I would suggest a sanatizing your room with hot water, soup, and some elbow work. Also repotting your plants, after you feel you have done what you can about the gnats. Enough gnat larvae in the soil can damage the root system.

As for topping you could, I'm not really a fan though... super croping on the other hand is less stressful to the plants some feel(myself inculded) and doesnt stunt the plant as much. Plus you get three tops instead of two whats not to like

And as for the humidifier I dont know if they do anything or not never really have heard of anyone using one before though so you will have to let me know good luck man

Honestly the heat has gotten so bad that I feel an AC is the ONLY solution to this madness. It is kinda steep at $300 but if it'll keep my babies from dying its what I'll get. I put in two cups of balsamic vinegar and the gnats appear to have died off. There are maybe 4 or 5 gnats in the vinegar so hopefully they were too young to lay eggs so the population HOPEFULLY was completely eradicated. I have been watching a lot of videos on super cropping and I agree that the plants seem to heal faster than topping. For the time being I did some minor LST to get the blue dreams to bush up a bit more.
Redbull, Thank you for being so helpful, I completely appreciate!!!! More rep for you when I'm allowed!

The last 3 days temps have been getting a little crazy, nothing above 86F but enough to make me fringe. I found a small spider mite infestation and I am going to get Mighty Wash in the morning to take care of the problem. If it's not one thing, its a f'n other. :leaf:

I am trying a mixture I found online: 1 quart of water mixed with a tablespoon of tabasco. Add 1 drop of liquid soap detergent to spray bottle, mix and spray on mites. Will report tomorrow.

So after applying that tabasco/water mixture to my ladies I think the mites are gone for now. Just as a precautionary measure I went and got some mighty wash and drenched them before lights went off yesterday. I used paper plates under the leaves to make sure no falling eggs went into the soil. So far so good.

Thanks to Beeb Beebman's information I supplemented my ladies with hi-brix molasses and hygrozyme this watering, STILL waiting for my GO Box to get here (f*ck you shitty eBay sellers)!

These two baby jacks were the two affected by the spider mites. The first one had about 4 visible webs (which were taken out immediately) and the second one just had mites under the fan leaves. No more walking spider mites!!!

if you got spider mites bro you are really gonna scrub down your tent bro. I wouldnt worry about the leaf you damaged, the plant will be fine. 86 degrees isnt that hot man, you should be okay at that temp. I got a buddy whos flower room sits between 85-90 degrees plants hold up fine. Right now my moma tent is running a 400 watt hps no no fans or inline fan for the hood sits around 88 when the light is fired up and running doesnt seem to bother my mother plant at all. hood sits about have inches away from the top

Hey there n31, Bleach wont hurt the tent. I bleach my tents between runs every time. 1:10 bleach/hot water. Hot water will kill the eggs as well, get into all the corners. Repeat this every 4-5 days, for 2 weeks. This is to break there complete breeding cycle. Spider mites love hot dry conditions and there numbers will flourish given this, I know this from living in hot arse australia! Let off a few flea bombs as well. Good luck hunting;-)
