Right, right. I'm sure you did exactly the right thing!! On the other hand, I really had no choice. We became aware of each other at the same time. He was just standin there lookin at me tryin to catch my scent, and seemed just as startled to see me as I was seein him. Figured I'd just force the issue and take my chances. I definately wasn't going to back down, or show any fear, and make him feel bold. Don't know what the experts would say, but it worked for me!!! Keep smokin Smokey!!!!That's about the exact opposite of what I did. Ha ha. I just stayed quiet and looked around for the real danger. I was pretty certain that little guy didnt want trouble and I'm also pretty sure he had no idea I was even there. I'm not terribly afraid of bears, I work in the woods all the time for my real job, but this one caught me off guard completely so I was a little bit cautious for about 5 or 10 minutes and then I just kept on my way.

but you're right Riz, our so called "representatives" and "public servants" are so out of touch with reality. they live in their own little world in DC where they push billions around to each other and to their little special interest groups and unions with no concern for the general public and only become active when its for their own personal or political gain. our Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves due to how far off our present govt has gone and pretty much just wiped their own asses with the Constitution. all this partisanship is bullshit. they need to stop these middle school cliques and just get people in office who are actually out to do good. and not lawyers..

You know, the older I get, and the more I educate myself about our " government " and it's shady dealings, the history of our country, all of the other countries affairs we've meddled in, overthrown or assasinated democratically elected heads of state, organized and funded coups, installed dictators or military juntas, it really makes me sick. Is there any wonder why so much of the world looks at us with distrust, or outright hostility? For instance, in 1953, our government, along with Britain, overthrew the leader of Iran, and installed a puppet General in his place, all to protect big oil. And we wonder why the Iranians dislike us. We've tried to have Castro assasinated an admitted minimum of eight times. Same thing in Guatemala, Chile, Bolivia, El Salvador. Pick a point on the globe and the picture's the same. All to keep the money flowin into the pockets of the big corporations. Never doubt it's about the money. We worry about other countries obtaining nukes and other " weapons of mass destruction ", and hmmmmm......let's see. Were the only country to ever nuke anyone. We have arguably the world's biggest stockpile of WMD, we've used chemical and biological weapons on our " enemies ", we've practiced genocide, slavery, whatever. Like I said, it makes me sick. I'm proud to be who I am, and grateful for the opportunities I have, but I really hate most of our government, and I think we should just start over with some real people. How bout it? Smoke, you could be Sec. of State, and B, how bout CIA Director. We could start spyin on all the former politicians, make 'em work for minimum wage, take away their healthcare, maybe put 'em in jail if they try smokin somethin we don't approve of.
