First grow attempt

I'm guessing it's the Cfls for the slow growth I've read 4 weeks in veg before flowering but that's with HPS and MH lighting I suppose it's time to get the good lighting thank you all for the help wouldn't have gotten this far with you all

Day 30

Watered with nutes yesterday

Short plant starting to become super bushy I raised the lights a little bit to gain some height.


Oh yea ordered seeds!!!!!!!!!!
4x northern lights blue fem
5x super lemon haze fem
1x pure kush fem
1x Mazar kush fem
1x cheese fem

The leaves are showing some very light green/yellowish lines in them is this PH burn?

Plant looks good to me, if it were my plant I wouldn't worry about the greenish lines.
But I'm no expert, I'm on my first grow as well. Keep an eye on it and see how it progresses.

. just takes time to veg bro... ya. might start training tho... makes a difference down the road ... yep...lol

I know nothing about training, is that tieing down the branches or topping off the plant?

Tie them down so the light reaches more of the plant.. more buds down the road. Try ties arounnd the rim of your container then use the ties to pull her branches down. Try to keep a even canopy. My 1 sours covers the top of a 5 gal bucket .. looks like a mini
scrog- lol

Holy shit I topped the plant and it's growing two stalks super fast hopefully not too early I'll post some pics when I get home

Nice setup. Im runnin cfls in a rubbermaid. Im new to growing so im sure this sounds lame, did u just buy a bag of ocean forest for ur soil? or did u hafta buy perlite and mix them? Looks good man im sub'd.

Hey thanks Cory for checkin the grow out, what I did is mixed 30% perlite and 70% fox farm. The cfls are great gonna follow yeps foot steps and do cfl and hids . You should start a journal everyone here gave me awesome advice on my grow

Looken healthy lady bro. Id just sit back and watch her for a week or so. Let her do her magic for ya.
What size pot you going to grow her in?
You planing on training or scrog?

Great deal on that 400w and scrubber, ya gotz the makings of a great grow.
No more smell with that scrubber.

Ya might start thinking about venting-Intake air cool air-Push out hot air
Try to keep the ducking as straight as possible( every bend reduces air flow)
Think about heat and how to get it gone.lol

Sound. The scrubber and fan are going to sound like a plane in a closed room.
I built a DIY silencer myself in 10 minutes and when I upgraded to a silencer from HTC supplys ($50)
I was the same... dam...lol I used the box my scrubber came in.
Just cut a hole in the top and bottom and lined the inside with egg foam connected to the top of fan and the ducking and wham.... zzzzzzz much better...lol



Sounds <-- like your going to end up with one lady well into flowering as your main grow
vegs. so you end up with 2 grow spaces till the main grow starts flowering.

Im finding if ya like to feed your ladys and have more controle over wet/dry you might want
to add more perlite. Somewhere around 50/50 or even 60% perlite to 40% soil.
Otherwise your mix will do great just a little less watering to do.lol

I didnt use enough perlite and never get to water them...lol

The smart potz are a great choice as well

Water run off- Wheres it going to go/collect
things like that.

These are all things that will come to you as you stand back in the space your going to use
to grow and you use your minds eye to see what no one else can yet see.

Your room full of dankness and sweet ladys just doing there thing for ya...

Should I move my lights up a little to gain some vertical growth? over 30 days and the she is still around 6 inchs tall

You can move the lights up a little each day or 2 and she should follow. Just dont get too far away.
CFLs dont push out light very far..
I would bet she will jump start her growth for ya soon...

Been busy working, BUT I did start the LST process ( I think ) and lifted the lights up to about 3 inchs above the plant. I think she is really bushy and short =P the two stalks from the topping are really starting to grow possibly because of the healing process is over? I dunno .
