DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS MAKING MY LEAVES DIE?? I added in a bit of epsom salt today to boost magnesium because I've read around and that seems like the cause. Browing leaves with spots and curling of the leave tips.
 
Day 16: Getting worried about Sasha. A few of her leaves are looking really bad. They've got big brown or dead spots on them. I've given her some epsom salt because I think it's an Mg deficiency.

The only plant I have had browning and curling leaves is sharing a pot with another seedling, maybe that causes complications...
 
I'm 99% sure it's pH now. I haven't checked it at all and have just been using tap water (which I haven't measured). Just ordered a ph meter and am gonna correct it soon.
 
LOL- those are not pistols... and it is far to early to sex Sasha... I don't even have sex on my 1 month olds yet... that will come when you are putting them into a flowering photo period of 12/12. What you have there is continuing node growth, this is completely normal, and how your plant fills out...

no. it's not in the picture. They're REALLY small at the junction of the main stem and a branch. h/o let me take a picture
 
LOL- still node growth... it will look the same as the set below it... Otherwise, I would say all my bag seed are females (but its not time yet! LOL)... you still have a lot of growth before sex will even want to show... I know you are excited, and I am sorry to burst your bubble...

Meh it happens... I've really been wanting to ask someone this. You think either will be done (all ready to smoke) in 76 days? I REALLY want to have a 4/20 smoke of my own stuff but 93 days total grow time is cutting it close (I think?) that'd only be like 30 days of veg :-?
 
Mine have been in veg 33 days now... and they are over a foot... so I might end up flowering them when they are about 18"... but you do have limited space, and you have to remember that they can double/triple in flower... You really should wait to flower until your plant has alternating leaf growth (this shows when your plant has reached vegetative maturity)... Realistically, you can do as you please with her, but you are going to want to wait until both girls are ready for 12/12. Have you read the newbie guide?

i dont know whats up with the browning aand curling.. sorry dude... :/ hope she recovers
 
I've done so much crap today it makes me sad how badly everything turned out. I got a pH meter that turned out not to be correct in any way at all. So the adjustments I tried to do with the meter probably threw everything off... Then while I was trying to water it, the bottom of the bag broke and the drainage water poured out onto my carpet. So I had to break off part of my grow box and dry everything up.

So what I've accomplished today...
-F*cked up the pH more probably
-Had to break my grow box
-Overwatered like hell.

No need for nutes now if your giveing them nutes thats prolly where the discoloration is comeing from and you don't need to water them that much just a steady pour for 3-4 seconds every 2-3 days wait until its completly dry before you water again. Looks like your useing MG soil they have instant release nutes they will feed for along time the more you water the more nutes are being givin to your plants and they don't need much right now Over watering with MG soil will burn your plants....

I'm probably going to go by my local nursery and get a bag of soil that isn't shitty. The MG moisture control I'm using takes incredibly too long to dry out and makes it and will make it hard for when I need to add nutes but have to wait until the next watering. AND WHAT TYPE OF SOIL DOESN'T HAVE MAGNESIUM?

What type of soil can I use that isn't FF because I can't get that anywhere around here or MG because the water cycle and pre-packed nutrients are just giving me a facef**k and completely messing up everything. Like what NPK do I need? I've looked around and here's my plan. Please tell me if it'll actually work before I go spend money on it.
-straight soil (no predone nutes)
-perlite
-3/1/2 NPK mix ferts
-Mix the soil and perlite in a 70/30 ratio
-add in the 3/1/2 fert at low strength and work my way up as the plants need it

I have another box built already. But I'm just not sure how to fit my lights in there. It's 3 boxes stacked on top of each other with holes cut in the bottom and the lids. Then I'd have to buy a HPS for it though because I don't really have a way to light up that much of a bigger area. Plus I wouldn't have a way to keep them separate so I'd have to veg and flower them at them same time and Sasha is almost 3 weeks older than my youngest. I just need to decide where to invest my money.

btw. I ordered a $60 pH meter that has gotten good reviews so pH lock shouldn't be a problem once I move to my new soil
 
yah well sasha's on her way to death. She's not really grown at all in the last 3 days. Tryed to transplant her out of the messed up soil. Some leaves fell off. Don't have much hope.
