What are you doing for exhaust?
I have a double window fan that has exhaust/intake,so one is ex and the other is in, have a fan blowing on my lights and another blowing on the plants.. I have a tent so all of my vents are open...oh yeah, duh, I bought a small fan called Arctic Air that you put water in and it blows out cold air like an AC that I don't even use cause that mofo blows COLD!!! I thought it might be too cold for the plants!!!

Thats going to raise humidity like a mofo, could lead to real problems in future grows even if this one is fine.

1 week, maybe 2 on the widows, and maybe 8 weeks on the nepal. Id say more than a month for sure unfortunatly its not even close. On the widows id give it 1 more shot of high pk nutrients before the last 2 waterings being straight water with maybe some carb source like a molasses for a resin booster if you feel like it.
Aight I'll give them another week with another pk feed and a flush. That sucks about the nepal. I would kill for an outdoor space to grow in or a large indoor space

I agree... I'm running four fans in my shit right now and my temp is 80-85... But maybe that's because I have my plants so close to the lights... I want to put my plants on the floor of the tent but the intensity of the lights won't be the same...Arrrrrggghhhh!!!! @perville did you do your whole grow in the small tent? Fuck it... I'm putting them on the floor and let it do what it will... I hope it doesn't hurt my autos, but i don't want to burn them either...
Nah I did the first batch in my closet with led's. I just set up that tent with cfls that imma use as a veg tent/flower for the 3 autos, i put the widows in there to take pics because it's so bright in there.

High wattage cfls are basically heaters.. having more lower watt bulbs usually works better. Check out the led globes if you can. You definitely wont say a 105w cfl is chill
Yeah I feel ya. They definitely warm up the tent quite a bit. But i was just looking for max wattage/buck. I have two good fans to run plus the tent has so many holes to open if i so choose

The artic air, its a swap cooler, meaning it uses evaperated water cooling.
Ohhhhh! So it's doing more harm than helping... So on to the next question... If my lights are putting out that much heat in the tent, does that mean that they are bright enough for me to put my plants on the floor? I just don't want to burn them...

Damn! You had me thinking that you grew those in the same size tent that I have... I was getting all excited thinking about the autos that I have in mine!!!1524620589839-2065636610.jpg 1524620589839-2065636610.jpg 1524620684278-1429100848.jpg 1524620748688-2092174260.jpg

It may be fine this run, they look fine to me, if you have a humidity meter youll know for sure and they are only like 10 bucks at wallmart for a temp humidity combo. The cfls generally are just ok, nothing great but can do the job. Heat doesnt equal enough light. In winter it wont be hot with double the light that in summer would scorch them with much less. The sylvanna brand leds are the best you can buy off the shelf and put out around 110 lumens per watt and are cheap, same cost as cfls. The main thing that makes the leds better is all the light can be directed where you want it, and the cfls just spray it all over. Id try to just struggle through this run as cheapy as you can then buy a hps and learn to properly cool it with fans and ducting next run. For about 250 you can get a 1000 watt hps, bulb, a cool tube, ducting and a fan. And then youll be able to easily pull 8 oz to a lb every 2 months.
It may seem like a lot of money, but its a investment that will pay off. And spending 20-30$ every few weeks adds up quick. Better to buy once an cry once, then get good reliable results for years. I am not a fan of leds... they cost too damn much and i dont think dollar for dollar you can beat a hps. Its easy to hook up ducts and fans to them unlike leds too.

As soon as I live in a place where I can have an hps you best believe i'll be doing that. How much do those hit you on the power bill?

I think I'm gonna go the cob route myself...its just something about the look...
It looks like what they grow with in space
I prefer sativa leaning plants so some more light penetration would be good for taller plants.. i don't know how high quality cobs compare on that. My little cob is pretty good but it definitely has a different effect on the plants than my smd leds

Just do the math, 1000 watts x what you pay for power, typicaly 10 cents per kwh, so 1.20 a day for 12/12, so 1.20x 30 days per month.

Shit, that's not too bad...so people that are saying that it costs a lot to run hps are having their lights on much longer than usual?

Youll find a lot of people have zero real life experiance but have "read a lot and watched youtube so i actually know a lot"
The led hype train includes a TON of disinformation and marketing reps counter the high cost of their lights with lies about costs to run hps.

Heres another gem of info thats overlooked, generally speaking a watt is a watt. 1000 watts of cfl, led, or hps makes the same heat roughly. However its easier to duct away the heat from a hps because the whole industry is built around them. Now if there was a led cob built to screw into a industry standard hood, and the option to have the ballast all hooked up like a normal hid ballast id be all over it. To me cooling a led sucks. Then you have temp and humidity issues... maybe i just like hid because thats what im used to and my 5 or so led runs wernt a fair trial. But ive got like so many runs with hps its just so much better imo...

Okay so I have a small tent 2x2x3 what size hps could I put in there and not burn my shit to a crisp? I used to work for this company that recycled old electrical parts and they would let us have whatever we wanted...I had about fifteen or twenty different types of hps and mh lights from 150-1000 watts.i rocked em for a while but I didn't realize what I really had... l ended up giving them all away... h://www.rollitup.org/t/whats-the-story.962955/page-7#post-14208695ts

Honestly with such a small area your likely best off just how your doing it. If it was even a little bigger like 3x3x6 then id say a 200 watt would be great. But woth only 3 ft of verticle hight i gotta wonder wtf the point is? Sounds like your trying to hide what your doing. (From parents?) Please at least be 18...
