Hey Spacey! Thank you for the compliments. It surprised me too, how well everything turned out. The large colas range from 4 to 6 inches. I will definitely upload one next to a lighter for a reference. It surprises me sometimes. I see it everyday, but when I take a picture I can actually SEE the growth ha. Check in a day, I should have it posted for ya.

Sweet Tim. I have 12 plants lol. 3 tomatoes, 3 lettuce, 3 pansies, the one plant I have posted here and two sprouts I just started in my closet. Unfortunately my rubbermaid will be out of commission after this grow. I am probably going to sell it to a friend who wants to start growing.
 
UPDATE - FLOWERING - WEEK 8 - Hello RIU! I am in the home stretch of flowering. From what I can tell it is pretty much on schedule, and I should have a finished product at the end of this week.

If anyone has any thoughts on how much longer it might take please let me know. The trichs are mostly cloudy with very few amber starting.

Anyway I looked this morning and many of them have swelled again. The hairs are starting to recede and change to orange. It looks and smells great. I am sooo fucking excited to get this weed dried and cured.

I did try a small nug last week. I quick dried and cured and man two hits and I was done. The taste was pretty good too without a full cure. The high didn't last as long but it was an underdeveloped nug, so no worries.

Well without further adieu, here's todays issue of Money Shots - Weed Edition.

I am definitely impressed for the rubbermaid setup. you should have a decent yield off that girl too. I have been curious about ordering from nirvana, would you recommend them? is this the only strain you grew out from them?

Hey Spacey! Thanks for the feedback dude. I have been surprised myself haha. It looks like I will come out around 2 oz...at least I am hoping for it haha. These are the only seeds I have ordered from Nirvana, though I am planning on getting a few other strains. The shipping was quick and discreet. I received it in about 10 days, and having worked in international shipping, I couldn't have asked for more haha. I want to grow the blue mystic, blackberry and raspberry cough by them.
 
I hear their PPP is supposed to be really good, especially for commercial growing. Well thats at least what a rep from Nirvana said.

Thanks Tim! It always feels good to hear compliments haha. Especially being my first grow and all. For drying and curing I will be using a simple method. I am going to hang dry them until the weed is dry but the stems can still bend. At that point I will put them in a tupperware or jar with a hygrometer. I will slowly burp the jar until the Relative humidity is in the same of a well cured cigar which is around 68%, might go a little lower to like 65%. Most might disagree, but having such a long history with cigars and tobacco I feel like this will keep the weed moist yet dry enough burn straight. I plan on chopping today, if not today when I get back on Monday. I am going upstate for the weekend. I am just afraid that the plan will mature too far in the two days (probably won't) but I'd rather have lots of cloudy and clear trichs then lots of cloudy and amber. What alot of people don't realize is that Amber does not give you 'couchlock'. In fact the amber trichs have no THC at all, the color is because the THC has degraded to CDC and CBD. I am not a medical patient so CBD and CDC have no use for me.

I need to go buy a scale in the mean time so I can weigh out the whole grow.
 
If you chop today and weigh it wet, your dry weight should be about 25% of the wet weight. I would do it today that way when you get back they should be dry enough to throw in jars. please let us know the deal if you chop today, i'm very anxious to see your numbers!

Hahaha I read that the exact same way Fenian. So I decided not to chop. I've been told time and time again..when you think it's done give it a few more days. I am hoping that in the weekends time, more of the bottom trichs will turn cloudy and more calyxes will swell. I could chop it down, but I feel like in the next 3 days it will put on at least 10% more weight. I am leaving her in care of my awesome girlfriend so hopefully she'll be ok. I am leaving a VERY detailed list haha.

I will pick up a scale this weekend as well as some supplies for my new closet grow. From the looks of everything my original number of 2oz seems very reasonable looking at it.

Just as a note to all the CFL haters out there..my nugs are rock hard and did not use any hormone products like purple maxx or gravity. CFLS will create dense nugs as long as you feed her and keep those lights super close. I use approx 200 actual watts of light in a 1 foot cubic space so that also helps. Keep posted on Monday. I am going to chop one way or another. I cannot wait another day. I am going upstate just so I don't chop her down too early.

i have grown twice and currently working on my 3rd (week 1 of flower), and although i have no experience with other methods, fluorescent lights work well. plus using them in a rubbermaid container makes it small, easy to work with, easy to hide, inexpensive...no doubt hid lights work better but if your on a budget the method we employed works great.

when i cured mine i used mason jars, no hygrometer just the squeeze test. only thing about the mason jars is we had to swirl the jar around to get the weed to seperate and dry properly, and i felt bad doing it, like i was shaking my baby or something.

i was unaware of that. most the research i did suggested 1/2 cloudy 1/2 amber for the couchlock effect, which is what i want. sometimes my buddy gets some "medical" shit and im a little hesitant to buy cuz, like you said, it often has specific purposes and i just wanna get stoned. i'll have to do some more research, which i always do anyway, but its god you bring that up. the thing that gets me is that the color of the trich matters in the type of stone you get (couchlock vs energenic), but also the species (indica or sativa). ill need to do more research on this (even tho i should probably know this like the back of my hand already...fucking stoner)
