First Grow, T5, Northern Lights

Yea, I think that in my next grow I might not use all 4 bulbs right away, maybe just 2 they really don't need that much light in the first 2 weeks. After two weeks I think I'd add in the other 2 bulbs, they pick up growth around that time.

DKSkater: Yea, I dunno, it's all just a guessing game right now, but there are people yielding 2oz off plants vegged for 1month like mine.. This one was actually vegged for 1month 1wk, it was vegged the longest, since it was my first sprout.

yeah i couldnt believe i only got that much off my plant haha it looks so much bigger when its actually on the plant... 2 days later drying its half its size damn 2oz from only a month of veg?? my NL will be 6 weeks tomorrow guess i should get a move on!

Yeah, I better not expect anything till it's dry.. I need to get a scale as well.. Might as well buy that with the microscope so I can look at the trichomes.

yeah damn i still need to get me one of those. i didnt know about my last one i just went by the pistols and the fact that it had been 9 weeks...

radio shack got good microscopes for 10-12 dollars..Im getting one real soon..

Here's a pic of one of my bud sites.. at this point they all look about the same.. some are slightly bigger than others, like the one that is throwing off my weight is actually the biggest. I think that's due to the fact it's been basically touching my light. I have that more under control now with the stake, I moved that bud so that it's lower and more level with the others and lowered the light closer to the rest. (most of my buds are on branches so I can move the branches around somewhat)

Yea, those ball things I was seeing aren't balls.. They look nothing like ball sacs anymore.. some have pistils coming from them.. That pic doesn't do my buds justice though they're really kind of big but you can't see it because they have so many leaves on them.

Kind of weird, but I see some buds branches have leaves with 9points, some have 7points, some have 5 points.. I'm going to guess that has to do with the light coverage.

I tried telling you those was not ball sacs..My plants had the same thing growing on them and pistils came shooting right out..

Well, it looked exactly like a ball sac to me, saw them on my males, but yea.. they're not ball sacs..

Here's a little update of what my buds are beginning to look like.. My other plant is creating these buds that look like crap really I'm not posting pics of that lol.. I think they might fatten up way later, it will probably take awhile for that one to fully flower.

Those burns that you see on the first pic are light burns.. that one is my tallest bud and it is making it hard for me to manage the lights so the other buds get good light. This is about 4 1/2 weeks in. I should have 3 1/2wks+ left.. (due to using fluoros..) Mine look like they have a ton of leaves compared to other bud shots I've seen here.

well shit long time no see haha. plants look good i think it just looks like you have a lot of leaves because the buds havent started to fill in yet haha. just wait and see a few more weeks youre using some kinda nutes arent you? how about molasses or anything else like that??

Yea, I'm using 3/4 strength tiger bloom and full strength big bloom.. Not using any molasses..

sounds good... i dont know about those lights then maybe theyre not enough to flower those very big?? how many lumens and everything?

Well, like I said I'm only at 4 1/2 weeks flowering the T5 puts out 20,000 lumens.. I have at least 3 1/2 - 4wks to go yet. (it also takes a little bit to switch to flowering in the first place so.. I'd say there's plenty of time for them to fatten up)

Also, there's about 12 of those sized buds on my plant.. About as big as a lighter..

oh wow that should be plenty then. thats only for what 2 plants? i guess it just takes a while for them to start filling in what the hell do i know ive only grown one plant haha

That's on only one plant lol it got huge.. It's taking up at least half the space under my light.. It had 5wks veg.

The other plant is lagging quite a bit, small buds, but they are still growing.. I put it into flower after only 2wks veg..

oh damn only two weeks? that other one still looks pretty big for only 5 haha mine are 7 weeks and one is just barely a foot now the other is like 15" im starting flowering them this weekend

I'll try and get an overview pic tomorrow.. Mine was a little more than a ft tall when I flipped to 12/12 it didn't grow much taller, it just got really bushy and took up more and more space vertically.. (the branches grew and grew..) It just stopped growing not long ago so I think it's now focusing on the buds..

It grew really weird.. I snapped off the area where the main cola would generally be by accident really early in flower trying to get it to be straight since the main growth area toppled over.. There is a bud regrowing in that area but it's really small compared to the branches lol Since it did that really weird like though it had a ton of bud sites all close together, because nodes became really compact on the top.

Those pics aren't of main colas if that's what you were thinking lol those 2 are from the same plant.. and there's about 10 other ones like them.. Didn't post pics of my other plant.. Those buds look like nothing, I think it's just getting to the point of really forming buds..

My pot is kind of small for it, I have to water once a day sometimes, but I really can't transplant now..

oh yeah i thought those were the main cola haha well how big are the pots you have them in?? i usually water once a day just not very much...

They're at least 2gal, probably good enough to finish it out.. They say about for every 1ft growth you should have 1gal, mine is around 2ft so it's probably just barely enough.. I can see small roots coming out of the holes on the bottom though so it would have been beneficial to have them in bigger pots.
