Get some Mycorrhaize and dress the soil with it. Next time you transplant, put a teaspoon of Mycorrhaize in the bottom of the hole.

Works like you can not believe:hump:

Day 40

Still growing strong! They got their first dose of Fox Farm Grow Big this morning and they seem to be loving it. I used 1 tsp per gallon.

I am wondering when I should switch to 12/12. They've grown exponentially in the last week - all about 7-8" and very bushy. I know they will grow considerably more the first few weeks I switch to 12/12. Keep in mind I am using a 30x20x64" tent w/ a 400W HPS for flowering. Of course, I don't want the plants growing all the way to the top. Any recommendations?

Looks good bro.

You can find all your potting needs at Walmart! They have 10" plastic pots for like $1.00.

MG isn't the best choice, but its certainly not the worst. All you need to do is add in some more pear lite and vermiculite, as well as a good nute program.

Since I knew I would be using MG Potting Soil (pH balanced, no slow release nutes), I ordered BARRICADE from Advanced Nutrients. This will protect against any stresses the plant encounters. I've heard great things.

Good luck!

Day 43

They look really happy!

I've decided to install the HPS bulb and switch to 12/12. It is already starting to get crowded in the tent, and they are going to grow considerably more before I can determine sex (two weeks probably) and get rid of the males.

Today is my last feeding with Grow Big and tomorrow the timer will be set to 12/12.

Day 45 (Day 1 Flowering)

I hope you are right. It looks like the "explosion" may be starting.

Do I start the big bloom & tiger bloom now or wait until the first signs of flowers appear?

Day 50 (Day 6 Flowering)

I've identified four females and two males. The males were discarded, so I am down to six plants. Of the two White Widow, I got one male and one female. I'm very happy so far. The remaining two plants do not have any flowers showing yet.

Started feeding with Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom today at half strength.

Comments welcome.

I think the big bloom should be used during all phases, it is enzymes and harmones to reduce stress and encourage growth. The tiger bloom is used at first signs of flower. Look at FF website, they have feeding schedule there.

All looks good though man.

One question. The plants are very bushy and close together - very much like a SOG. Should I be removing any fans leaves? Do I wait until they turn yellow and then remove them? Let them fall off naturally? What's best?

you have some very bushy girls there. thought about trimming some of the bulk out? i like to take a couple fan leaves every now and then to allow for better air movement...just a thought

I agree about the bushiness. They are all VERY bushy. I went ahead and removed a few fan leaves from each plant. I also removed some of the lower shoots that aren't going to develop into much of anything. Hopefully, that energy will transferred to the main colas. There's 4 main colas on each plant. I'll post some more pictures in a few days.

awesome man. and about the leaves i would keep thinning the plants say once a week and definitely keep those bottom shoots off. may not improve total yield much but the quality of the buds willbe higher.
