First Grow (wonder woman) a few concerns..

Hi guys. Im a first time grower and I know I have alot to learn! Im looking for some pointers from those of you who know what your doing. If something is obviously wrong, please dont hesitate to correct me!

I started these plants about 2 months ago under cfls. I used topsoil from home depot and after the first transplant, I began using the 400w MH thats in place now. With no added nutrients except fish water, the plants were doing great. One of the plants is significantly smaller, but I associate that with the aaccidental root loss from the transplant (oops!). In the last few weeks the bottom leaves started to yellow quite a bit on the bigger plant. I clipped them to save the plant stress, but it seemed to continue up the stock. The little one started showing signs, so I did a soil test. Ph was good, and the other 3 nutes were very low. So I purchased some petes 20-20-20 and gave that to them last week. I also changed my fan to be blowing in instead of out, and followed the easy co2 solution found in the FAQ's. I setup a humidifier today as well in hopes to raise the humidity. There is some slight browning on some of the tips, and some definite yellowing of the leaves.

Im hoping to get some reassurance or some constructive criticizm here. I want nothing more than to upload some pics of some sweet looking buds! Oh, and also, should I be spraying down the leaves with the nute solution, just water, or not at all. Thanks again guys.

Happy smoking! :joint:

Lower your lights your streching them. Do you have a fan blowing in the room? Whats your humidity?

The FAq said if using a 400w metal halide, that the light should be 4 feet from the plants. Right now the plant tops are 32" from the bulb itself. You think I should bring them even closer? Anyone else have a take on this?

I would bring the light a little closer, there shouldnt be that much of a gap between branchs.
Just make sure not to get it to close so you dont burn them.

somtimes you have to use your own judgment. Books and articales are only used for refeances so youo just have to play around and find whats best for your plants.

Most likely nitrogen. It is normally the first nutrient to run out when in veg. A Good sign of nitrogen is the leafs yellowing starting at the bottom. I suggest you get some kind of nutrients

I got one from meijers for like 20.00 it only holds a gallon and a half but works real good. Go to the kids humidifier section and theres a couple to chose from.

they seem to be on shock from transplant wait until she bounces back to feed nutes . it ain't n deficiency cus u sayd u water with fish water thats good enough for n and the lights are fine . it is just in shock root must likely from what i herd from ur words . watering lees makes the plant look for water root grow and them bring the nutes back tis may set u back a week or two but doesn't seem like u have an other solution. just to wait .

here is my jack the ripper who suffered a lil yellowing on the leafs after transplant .. lost a few bottom leaf but doing much better now.

I dont think its the transplant because its been about 5 weeks since. They actually did very well after the transplant, especially the big one. It actually seemed to start once I cut the top. Maybe I shocked it and there were no nutes to help it grow. The small one was in shock for sometime, but is growing well now. Im currently using jacks 20-20-20 and between that and bringing the light down a little, im hoping to see better results. Thanks again for the input guys.. much appreciation.
