I'm currently doing pots, mainly because my native soil, at least in the areas where I can grow, are extremely rocky. It's much easier to fill a pot with soil than to dig a hole ANY depth, let alone to properly amend our clay and rock. This should bump you.
In any event, both options have their pros and cons. Such as watering issues, temperature and stability. Also, lighting, for instance with a plant in a pot that's in a location where the sunlight changes through the season can be moved according to need, whereas a plant in the ground would have to be dug up, so it's another consideration. As is fertilizing. These are off the top of my head, so.. at least I've bumped ya! How much of the GrowFAQs have you read on the subject?
