Its almost day 15 flower and I am impressed at the steady growth of my plants in the supersoil. These pics are from day 12. I flowered them on the third. Heres the rundown.
I have 4 in 3 gallon smartpots and 4 in 5 gallon smartpots. They all were vegged for 6.5 weeks under a 400 watt T5 fixture and are flowering under a 1000 watt hortilux. Room is kept at 77-80 durring lights on and drops to 70 - 71 at lights out.

Some things I have noticed that I like about the supersoil compared to what I was doing before ( which was combination of soil like FFOF and roots combined with floranova chem nutes by general hydroponics). I have noticed that my plants leaves are all perfectly shaped and without any odd color blotches and do not feel crispy or stiff like they were before. The lower leaves were sometimes slightly burnt if I fed a little to much. Also the lower popcorn buds were under developed. I can already see that with supersoil the lower buds are much better developed then when I was useing chemical nutes...now keep in mind that I had my first grow last year and am getting better all the time at this. I did like the floranova grown buds very well. Another thing I have noticed is all the worry and stress about things like...did I overfeed or...man I hope I fed enough...this is all gone. And the time spent mixing and bubbling water and testing ppms or PH and adjusting is now replaced spending time with other hobbies. I just lift the pot and if its light I give it some clean water...talk about keep it simple stuped stoner... One more thing I notice is the plants are quite abit shorter with closer internodes. If someone can explain why this is please do. I have to admit that I have been thinking about adding some sort of bloom booster to add soon to try and crank up the bud production. I have added molassas once and also some organic guano tea (budswell) but am very careful not to over feed. I know my Bluecheeze will need some fertilizer later as its in 3 gallon pots but until it tells me it needs some I will wait to add any.

Here is the pic update. They are all topped for multi colas.

I think they look stunning...what do you all think?

Resist the urge to feed run these strains through on water only then make adjustments on the nest run.

looking good here, subbed up! did u use Super Soil in only your finishing containers or are you in your pots from seed in 70% base and 30%SS?

I used some in the 1 gallon pots as well as the finishing pots....about that 30% 70%. They are looking smashing today. They seem to have plenty of Nitrogen and are plenty green and bushy as hell and they are done with the stretching alomst but the buds are not really all that big yet. I started flowering on the third so I am just impatient. I keep thinking I should be useing a bloom booster like koolbloom or something but will refrain this cycle. Dont wanna fuckem up and burn them.

HYDRAFARM T5 FIXTURES SUCK!! not even 6 months old and have 3 dead bulbs in my veg light today...fukers!

Yes man resist those urges or if you feed and something happens you wont be sure why . Takes notes on this and adjust on the next mix if needed .I just xplanted into super soil for the first time with a Flo clone . I did super soil up to an inch below the rootball then filled in with base soil . Hope I didn,t eff it up .

I,m just going to see what it does and if I'm deficient I,ll take notes and feed with organic nutes only to clear it up .

I am deffinitly impressed with all the bud sites and the size of the flowers that usually would be small popcorn. Now they are quarter size instead of just dime size....Its only just 3 weeks in for me...23 day I quess

subd in interested in seeing a blue make it out with out hermi- ing
Ive never had the bluecheeze hermie....knock knock on wood. Here is some pic updates.

Ok.....heres a update. The plants in the small 3 gallon smart pots ran out of food and started to show nitrogen def and quit growing. After first checking that the soil ph was 6.3 and trying a folier and soil feed or epsome salts I came to the conclution that they were in fact starving. Go figure...week 3.5 in 3 gallon smartpots. The plants in 5 gallon pots are growing fine still. I fed them 850 PPM floranova bloom with just a tiny bit of the grow to help the nitrogen. KABOOM....them suckers grew almost 1/2 inches to each flower....not just leaves but stacked calxes in just 24 hours...hehe. Ya..you could say they were hungery. The bluecheeze that I have is a heavy feeder anyway.

Heres the pics and today is day 31 flower. Started flowering on the third last month. I also am including a pic of one of my Nervonas AK48 that I started ..I just thought she was pretty and deserves to be sharred with you all...doesnt she look sexy

OHHh...thank god I live in a cannabis friendly state..

Right on....Ive got a mendo purp that makes huge super funky musky floral smelling buds that will hermie around day 55 - 60 it seems. When she is done....she is done...chop her down or its nanner city. This Bluecheeze makes some really long donkey dick buds. This is the last time I use 3 gallon pots. Its 5 or 7 for now on. I am soooo happy with subcools recipe. This is my first cycle and I have never had so many flowers....of course Im only on about my third cycle so Im still a new grower. If you are reading this.....thanks Mr subcool for all you have done for the medicle cannabis people.

Here is a Pure Power Plant that I have started from seeds...another nervona seed. Anyone ever grow this one? I started it same day as the ak48. Its the big one not the clone...That clone is a rooting test that I am doing. I have 2 clones in clear cups so I can see the roots good. I cover the roots from light until I want to see them then I just peak. I am testing hygrozyme compared to bcuzz roots formula...whatever it was called. I think its just called roots.

Heres a day 44 picture update. The plants ran outta food at arounf 3 weeks. Some were only in 3 gallon pots and some in 5 gallon pots. I have been feeding with budswell, Bat Guano, Earthjuilce catalist and mollassas. I also have added bcuzz organic bloom stimulant and tiny bit of their PK just the last week. Basically I made 3 teas really strong till they started growing again then just lightly watered them to keep em going.

I have to say thanks again to subcool for this soil recipe and all the threads that I have searched out here and about 4 other websites. This is my first organic grow and its been really good. Thanks Subcool....this smoke should keep my nerve damage pain away for some time.

Was it all of your plants that ran out of food @3 weeks or was it just the ones in the 3 gallon containers? Do you recommend the 7 gallon containers to be used instead? I'm currently running a supersoil grow and it is nearing time to transplant, and I am not sure whether I should transplant into 5 or 7 gallon containers.

I know the man himself is around here somewhere...but I'm pretty sure I remember reading that he recommended 7 gallons. I always lean bigger when I have a choice.

7 gallons is subcools recommended size. you can go to a 10gal if you wanted. you can do 5 gal(i do), and if you show signs of nute deficiency later, you can always minimally top dress more supersoil.

They all stalled at once. Oh they were still budding but the leaves all went really light and the budding slowed right when it was supposed to be ramping up.

Well...if I could do it again I would do all 5 gallon pots but thats just me. Its a room issue for my veg cabnet. If ya have the room go for the 7 gallon pots....especially if ya vegged for 6 weeks like I did. My plants went from rockwool 1x1 cubes into the 1 gallon pots for 2.5 weeks then into the 3 and 5 gallon pots to veg for another 3.5 weeks. So its not like they were only in ss for a week. Now I also top my plants for 4 colas and lst the 4 colas apart to make the smaller branch buds grow to match the height of the mains. Haveing 4 colas with a heavy feeding plant Im sure will use more food then a alnatural single cola. Also I have a 1000 watt halide....if you have a 400 watter that will make a difference on how much food they need. And when I mentioned that I made a few strong teas that is probably a matter of opinion as I know some people here use a tbl spoon mollasas and I never use more then 1 teaspoon. The budswell that I use is just guanos all mixed up in a bottle and its hard to burn with it. I used only 2 tablespoons per gallon along with the catalist. I think I also added 1 or 2 spoons happyfrog high P guano once in one of the teas. Once the plants started budding good I went with daily watering in the 3 gallon pots and bi daily in the 5 gallon pots. They are smartpots and dry out fast so they are needing water everytime I water them. Remember that the plants bud the best near the dryer time period before you water when there is plenty of oxygen getting to the roots.

Shango: Yep subcool likes the 7 gallon pots anf if ya have the room go for it. I have to have someone else lift my 5 gallon pots for me and I can barely scoot them around. The 3 gallons Ones I can manage well enough.

Also....if your plants dont need any additional food then dont feed them. You will easily cook them if you are not carefull with the supersoil. Trust me I experimented on 1 plant first before I hit the others with food.

Nice buds man... Gotta love the SS, i wont grow any other way for a long while
Supersoil = lots of budsites + food for the plants 24/7...not just when the chem nutes are present... Its the natural organic way to grow and is also worry free. No PPM or PH to stress over. Just water and load another bowl on the binger! What could be easier. All you have to worry about is do I have enough empty jars...or do I need to get more...

Think I will make that my signature

Simply stated, subcool says to use 7 gal and to resist the urge to feed, and let the fade come on.

however, if it shows severe nute deficiencies it could be a heavy feeder, and therefore he states to top dress with more super soil.

he makes it pretty easy, its just that alot of people then turn around, modify things a lil bit, and then make it confusing because theyre not doing it the way he originally stated.
