First time grower in NY

Hey guy, I've been on and off this forum for over a decade. I remember finding this site in high-school and reading as much as I could to learn how to grow. Well life happened, ya know kids and work so growing had to wait. Especially since it's illegal, but with that changing I figured I should get my garden up and running.

Got her as a clone that was vegged for I believe 2 or 3 weeks. I'm not sure of where he got the seeds, but its a Sativa Scream. I have super sand soil which I amended a little bit with some compost and pest moss, but i would still consider it sandy. Used fox farms nutrients on the whole garden. She's been budding for about 2 weeks now. Going to give her a heavy trim this morning before times hurricane comes in. I'll do before and after pics of that. Well, I cleaned up the garden pretty good. Cut down my habanero, jalapeno, one of the bell peppers and the last tomato. That created some more room to get into the main attraction. Trimmed a lot off, some smaller branches and as many fan leaves as I could get minus the top 3 or 4 off each cola. Found a couple ladybugs in there this morning. Should be good to go for now.

Also, I found a praying mantis in one of my stores last week and I captured it and put it in the garden. I did not see him today, makes me sad. It's been a couple days since Henri, and had no issues from the storm. Buds are starting to form, just curious as to why it's so much further behind everything else in this area. 20210825_162134.jpg20210825_162238.jpg

Question for yall experienced outdoor growers...I have been using fox farm nutes since the beginning. I have been using tiger bloom for 4 weeks now, was giving 40ml mixed with 2 gallons twice a week. This supplied the entire garden (other veggies too) but now it's just MJ and a bell pepper plant. I'm still doing 40ml of tiger bloom but now I'm doing it every other day. I was told for weeks 2 to 4 or 5 to ramp up nutes.

Is this too excessive?
I have yet to see any signs of nute burn so I don't think so but im new so idk. Also, I have very sandy soil, which I amended with some regular soil but its still pretty sandy.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Did a little trimming while taking down the cucumber wall. Noticed some leaves getting eatin and some damage that I don't know what I am looking at. Any help in identifying these issues would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to think im into week 2 maybe starting week 3 of flowering at this point.

First few pictures are the damage I mentioned, then there's before and after trimming too. I will update later in the week on where she stands with bud development.

Mine just started flowering last week. One is further along than the others even though they are all the same strain from the same seed vendor. Not sure where in NY you are but mine are similar to yours.

I'm in Hudson Valley area of NY. 2nd year growing outdoors. Few more weeks to go. Have to drag plant out of rain at first light

@Jellybean1117 i like how u removed the tomatoes from around your ladies.
I did the same thing. Had some issue with rotting undergrowth from the microclimates deep within them and did want it create any other problems. I was also told that cucumbers are notorious for PM and fortunately I haven’t had that issue, but you bet your ass I’ve been diligent about it.

That’s pretty neat! Ya think its been just chillin there the whole time? Pretty wild if so!
I’ve developed a thriving lady bug community in my ladies! Would love to find a praying mantis and just stare it at like woah broooo :eyesmoke:
