Hey guys , im in need of help. Ive been doing alot of research but still cant find the answers to my questions. For instance where do I start when deciding to grow indoors? Ive been looking into Grow Tents and I do have a decent amount of money to spend. Some tips or basic guidelines when buying kits would really help out!

Ive been looking into this website called htg supply however dont know if what i viewed is worth it or if its what i need to get started. It states the Base Kit Includes:
(1) AgroMax Original grow tent
(1) HTG Supply 7 Band 2.0 High Output LED Grow Light
(1) pair rope ratchet grow light hangers
(1) 120v single-outlet mechanical timer

Hi maybe two areas u might want to start that I found useful was YouTube looking at other people’s grows then maybe understanding the light u want like mh vs led and also a nutrient company ur going to use and how it works and last might be useful is some sorta filter because that kit dosnt seem to have charcoal filter or that sorts

This Kit will def have everything you need to grow a few plants, i will say this however, with our help on this forum, i think you could source each piece of equipment you need for similar price and either do it cheaper or you get better quality equipment.

Those kits usually use some cheaper pieces and inflate prices compared to just sourcing them yourself.

Where are you located? which country? Ill try my hand at helping you out if you want.

Let me tell ya one thing u don't want to skimp on is the lighting aim for 50w sq ft of any light I get .don't waist money on purple (blurple) . of u decide to go led go with either quantum boards or the cobs.. a pre built fixture will cost a lot more money if u decide to go led.... I would go ceramic metal halide (cmh) how big of tent are u aiming to get etc.. Of a 4x4 I'd get a 630cmh or a good quality white led . make sure to get a actual inline fan and not just a duct booster as the booster won't be powerful enough imo. Don't get the Buddha nutrients of ur gonna order something of go with jacks 321 or jacks 20 20 20 .. Or general hydroponics gro and bloom 2 part system I'm in the process of trying out dynagrow nutes to see if the water in a bottle will be worth much time lol. But ya man ask questions ill tell u as much as I know and direct u to some good products and good growers to help good luck bro

I would go with 6 " in line fan and for a 3x3 is go with 315w cmh or some quantum boards which are white leds and most tents can equip all grow lights and equipment the cheap tents work fine i have a 4x3x6' I paid 150 delivered to my door and it had a detachable inner wall so I can make a veg area and have a 3x3 flower space but a 4x4 is my favorite size tent easy to manage but can still get a good quantity of bud out of it.as for going hydro.for ur first grow I would try soil first and study up on different types of hydroponics there is simple methods and advanced methods I think the bubble buckets are easy to manage or the waterfall buckets ..if u don't know what ppms are or what ec is or ph tha I'd wait till u have a good understanding of that's stuff

Second question, how much is the kit you were looking at?

4 plants in 5g pots vegged for 35-40 days will fill a 4x4 tent easily, so 7g pots your either gonna want a bigger space than 4x4 or less plants than 4.

3x3 or 4x4 tents: ( Apollo, Hydrofarm, mars, vivosun) all decently priced and of decent quality, theres others aswell...Gorilla and secret jardin are probably the best, but they are pricey.

In a 3X3 id go with either 320qb from hlg or a 315 cmh if it were my 3x3...if you want bang for buck, 400w MH/HPS will be cheapest and get you most watts/$...if you decide on 4x4 , it would depend on how much you want to spend. 600w HPS still best bang for buck, but if i had unlimited funds i would probably run Hlg boards or timber cobs. 1000w hps would also work, but you need good cooling and ventilation to keep the environment in check

Fox farms ocean forrest soil, because its a newbies dream. ph your water for first 30+ days and the soil does the rest.

Nutes : Jacks , Megacrop, Floranova ( is my choice, also newbies dream, simple 2 part series, use one bottle for veg and one for bloom.)

He don't need any ac to run a 1kw watt in a 4x4?

I have hard enough time keeping my 600w in check in my 4x4

i would expect a 1k to need some type of cooling to help with the temps

Hi everyone, need some advice regarding ventilation fan: do u point it directly at the plants to make the stem stronger, or do u point below the canopy or above or do u not point it at the plants and just use demand to keep the air moving...

Soz about the rookie q’s, but it’s my first indoor adventure and I don’t want to f*** things up

Not directly at the plants, i have 1 fan below canopy and i have 1 above, just enough to make them dance.

Hey diggs! Answering question one! I wanted 3 plants in a 3X3 Tent , however could go for a 4X4 for more space! Going to use soil and nutes that you have recommended! And can post pictures as I go!

The kit that i was lookin at on HTGs website was $ 545.93 on the dot! I can show a picture of what it says it includes!

N ok sweet! Ganna start with the fox soil! Sounds good to me , and could you possibly drop some links? For a good Tent and ventilation equipment ? Or possibly important things you believe i would need to run a decent setup? I dont have unlimited funds lol but i can pull some strings and make it happen

Ditch the tent and use some panda film to run along the sides and ends. Nothing over the top. Help the heat issue and the top is pointless unless you don’t have a hood. It’s just makes it an oven

Thats perfect! Thank you for your help ! I swear have you ever thought of doing YouTube videos ? Alot of info that you gave me that could help many others! Great advice and i will be posting my grow and process as I get my equipment! Im stoked to start

For instance where do I start when deciding to grow indoors?

I think the first decision you need to make is Photoperiod vs Automatic.

Next you need to decide Soil or Hydro.

I think these two things have to be thoroughly explored before you think about other stuff because in thinking about the these two things you will come to see how it all fits together.

For my money for example, automatic plants have entirely changed the game for me.
