First time indoors, tiny bugs like baby mosquitos

Ok, so there are some tiny little flies that almost look like baby mosquitoes. The have done 0 damage to my plants, but they are tiny and show up this week so it make take time to notice anything they do. But I was wondering if anyone else has had experience with small tiny quick mosquito like bugs. They are too fast to squish. They don't seem to be doing any damage, but will they? I was thinking about not watering them for about 2 days and thirsting the bugs to death: good idea? Also, I have only done this one other time, and outdoors and I was lucky enough to not get any pests. I lived in another state at the time, buried pennies from before 1980 around my plant (I was told copper in the ground keeps things away from roots), and sprayed off about 6ft from my plant in a circle whenever I went. But this time I sprayed some home barrier bug defense stuff, but these little flying fuckers got in. Help please.

The pennies are long gone, that was an outdoor grow last year.
But will the gnats hurt my plants? Should I thirst them to death or allow them to stay? Also, What is a preflower? I have recently heard of this and would love to know my plants gender before flower cycle.

On some strains your plant will show signs of what she "might" be, not 100% accurate but sometimes you can tell. The knats won't nes hurt your plants but they will become a pain in the ass, I think they lay eggs in soil and can actually fuck with your root system. I'm not 100% sure that's what they do but I would try and get rid of them of you can. You can always try some neem oil, it's organic and will make your leaves shiny too lol

Thanks, I'll rep once I get it back.
I got a girl showin herself. It's obvious now that I know what preflower is, someone linked a 420magazine.com picture to me. I got two little ones not matured yet though. And maybe more. I might make some clones soon, once she's got nice branches. Have a couple baby girls under her. I wonder what she's like. Got all mine from random southern bagseed.
