Flowering week 5. slow flower growth?

Hi all,
I've read a few posts similar, but not getting the info, so I'll start an individual thread.

grow room:

2 separate tents. 600w hps with northern lights (5) in each tent.
Canna coco soil, hand watered with canna A/B nutes. using a bloom feed on top.
ppm in flowering 1600 rising to 1800 at mo.

Temps 18c - 30c hum 40 - 60% (both tents)

The plants in general are healthy, vigorous and getting real TALL.
I am however concerned that I have under developed flower growth and final yield per plant will be low.
Considering the costs involved with running 2 tents is disappointing.

I did have a nute lock up at week 5 of grow at light change time due to a ph - calmag thing.
I trimmed the plants of foliage under some supervison from a friend.

In all things are okay really, just not as much flowering as I hoped for by now. Could the set back from my earlier lock up delay the plants by say 2 weeks or so and they will take longer to reach yield, or will they ripen according to the flowering period and remain small? Please help a fellow new grower.. thank you guys JK. Pics coming when my phone charges up this evening. All help and opinions will be taken on board thank you lads. J

What's it look like.
There could be endless amount of things people would guess without a photo.
And if it delays ripening normally they will make it back up, unless you are still having the problem.
Never go by the growers guide I started counting from when pistils show up recently.

Firstly niceee lady's
Try keep of anything to do with nitrogen, and do just you blooming stuff. They look very healthy and green just recon you are earlier than you think you are.
If it makes sense lol
No redness on main stem to show issues, no red leaf stem and nothing to worry about unless someone else spots something.
Here is my Dr underground Painkiller it's a 8 week strain and I'm in week 4 nearly five.... But only started flowering two and half weeks agoDSC_0140.JPGBuds look about same size if not you might be one week ahead, I stripped big pointless fan leafs to get light lower.
Keep an eye on your flowers when first set of pistils go amber they go in and more come out of each calyxes thingy majig then when they go brown second time its near about time. Cola Buds will look like an untidy afro lol best to get a lens and check your buds crystals not leafs.
Hope it helps but still wait for other options.
If you want I can send you pics when near time I'm sure it will be same for you

Ah man, you legend. Yes what you said made sense, I may not be as late as I think, I took notes on a pad around that time so may check when I changed the cycle if I can find it lol. So it seems that the weight gain is yet to come and im worried for nothing. Ill send you a pic a week from today then, this thread yeah?

I noticed straight away that most your leaves have been clipped off. Ive seen so many times people saying DONT cut away leaves and fan leaves. I'll have a thing about that before I have a brainwave when stoned clip away then have a paranoia attack that I did the wrong thing. haha cheers though. feeling slightly better. Oh by the way there are pistills looking pinky. I assumed these would be the first to ripen and plenty of new white ones are on the way, so wasnt to concerned about this. should I be? lol

Not sure but double check on the strain and Google about the pistils looking pink, about the leafs off its okay aslong is not allot is taken at a time then the plant will be fine every grow I have done the same thing...
In my head the idea is fan leafs for stem n stuff and bud leafs for buds RIGHT lol I don't know tho but allways done it
And abou the weight yeah mate that should come soon. Pistils are in pairs of two on each calyx when they go amber then brown they shrivel in and about four pistils or more come out and fatten then they go brown and shrivel then it's about matter of days till the awesome but sad chopping day.
But like i said try get your self a loop then you can judge how strong you want you buds to be KO amber crystals, social and mellow go for yellow lol.
And it would be a pleasure we could compare buds lol or what not. I'm no pro by the way

Yeah I've read that, good post. I intended to go to that nearer the time some good common sense talk. The head frying thing I just read now is a lot of people are counting from signs of sex and others at the change of lights. I've posted this as 5 weeks from change lights. I hope I got it wrong and I'm only in week 3 of flower. Hahah

Yes, I see you'r point. But even in my novice experience removing the spindly, lower leaves and branches gave my plants an extra spurt, nature also put all that massive mash of leaf and weak leads clogging up the lower section.

Anyways, thanks for your input, I'll err on the side of caution.
Cheers. J

Never remove leaves. Nature puts them there for a reason. If there were no reason for them, nature wouldnt put them there.
But the difference is natures sun moves east to West so no need to defoiliate out doors, but indoor I beg to differ because the light is stationary. Just my opinion tho I'm not asking anyone to follow. I grow tomatoes and other fruits and berrys. They need defoliation aswel out doors. But again that's just my doing.

Next to my avatar is a link to my journal. I count the days from light-flip, but I've also given lots of PK in the beginning already. Took a week to see proper flowers, or even something like it. But otherwise the guys seem to have found "solutions/ideas" for your problem. They sure don't seem to be on their fifth.. My fifth is beginning tomorrow, I think.

you think its 5? lol I'm not too sure either. I'll be making notes daily next time. But looking at the colour, I'm guessing I messed up my count and I still got about 5 weeks of flower to go without the worry theyr gonna ripen and remain small. They had a pk 13 - 14 shot yesterday on top of A/B and bloom. 1800 ppm. I'm Gona feed every day unless the soil looks wet, and they can have a 2 day dry spell and back to daily feeds and repeat. Ill check you'r journal soon. thank you

Are you using vitalink lol.
Mixing pk and bloom will cause bad effects aswel, just a heads up.
As for flowering I just mark the date on the pots when they first shown pistils lol. It's easier than the makers. Behalf growing environment and what not. I think you gotta be spot on with to make the breeders time. But to be honest it's down to the plant how happy she is and grow well I recon
