fogger in one room, two pilot lights in the other

I had spider mites take over a plant and go onto the ceiling from the wall it was touching, so now they are everywhere. I got a Doktor Doom fogger to help start a major cleaning of my veg area however in the next room over is the house oil heater and water heater... im pretty sure there is a pilot light in each. If I just close the door and tape the seams shut around the door and taped the vent in the room shut, would it be safe to run one Doktor Doom in that room or should I still turn off the pilot lights?

Cause im not confident on how to turn off / on the pilot light on the water heater. And not sure where the furnace one is. Dont want to reignite the lights and have the house explode later when I dont know what im doing. Figure I will just take the harder route and scrub the walls and spray the plant again

If I were you, id fill the tub/sink with water, add a very small amount of dish soap, neem oil, whatever you intend to use, and actually dunk the plants. If you miss even just ONE egg, they'll be back at full force. After dunking for a bit, rinse it in clean water and set them by a fan to dry. While they dry, nail the room itself. This is for serious mite takeovers, but your plants will be fine if you're careful and exercise common sense.

I dunked them a couple times in 5 gal of azamax and then spray them with sns 217 afterwards. I scrubbed the walls before but wanted a quicker option this time around. Just looked at the water heater and there are no exposed pilot light buttons so I dunno about that(whirlpool). I would like to tape up the door and vent to room but not confident about running pilot lights with a fogger in the adjacent room so I may just have to dunk again and scrub the walls again. Good suggestion though UncleReemis, dunking usually gets most of them off... then its just a matter of staying on top of it

Thanks for that Bob, lol I dont even like being next to the water heater... with that comment it looks like I might as well throw away the fogger. lol goddammit, I hate srubbing ceilings and walls.... sigh

No need for scrubbing mate just get spray bottle and mask, start at the very front of the room and work your way out the door spraying walls ,cracks ,carpets etc.
The chemical i used(dicofol) has wiped them out no sign at all and no harm to plants. This stuff is similar to DDT.

Look into, Mighty wash, it works safely , combine with Big Time exterminator , both safe to use up until harvest.doesn't affect smell or taste imo

You should be able to call your gas company and they can help you with getting your pilot lights turned off and back on. At least the company I have for gas will wall you through it over the phone. Nothing suspicious about it. People bomb for pests often.

So Floramite in Washington state requires a license to even buy! I used to use that shit in Cali all the time lol hope I don't have cancer now. Anyway I just took sns-217 and sprayed the entire room, walls and ceiling... then took all day and chopped all the big trees down, dumped them in a 5gal of azamax / 217 mix and cloned those. This is what I did last time and seems to really work but its just staying on top of it which is why they came back... it seems overwhelming when looking at the room at first but then ya get to work and its not so bad. However, again, its all about staying on top of it and spraying the entire room every couple days to get the new hatchlings. One day they will be all gone, one day... Until that day I will call upon the power of the 5 rings to assist me in eliminating the hoard threat. Still havent used Mighty Wash but Ive heard good things. Theres another new one called Gaurdian that works well

use a p bomb or bethoven bomb. your not going to blow up. i use them all the time next to my boiler. never even thought about the risk of combustion.

I'll have to look into those bethoven bombs for sure. I thought there had to be some kinda bomb that would not explode shit, thx man!
